The place is charming, and yes the line moves very quickly. After ordering you are given a pager and then you can go ahead and find a seat in one of three dining rooms.
I was most disappointed in the catfish. Very bland, weird fat/skin layer that made the crust soggy and detached. The standard sides are pretty boring and bland - coleslaw, potatoes, corn.
The fried shrimp was delicious, however! Light hints of garlic and lemon - good stuff. They butterfly what seem like 26/30 so they are large but not at all meaty. Kinda strange. We also enjoyed the fried oysters and were envying the on-the-halfshell platters we saw.
The best part of this restaurant seems to be the uncommon items! There is lots of grilled items available including rainbow trout. And there are plenty of healthy sides that looked very good including grilled yellow and zuchinni squash.
The menu is huge so it would take many more visits than we have to find all of our favorites. I'd just encourage you to roam outside of the standards and take a chance on "something different".
