The place is charming, and yes the line moves very quickly. After ordering you are given a pager and then you can go ahead and find a seat in one of three dining rooms.

I was most disappointed in the catfish. Very bland, weird fat/skin layer that made the crust soggy and detached. The standard sides are pretty boring and bland - coleslaw, potatoes, corn.

The fried shrimp was delicious, however! Light hints of garlic and lemon - good stuff. They butterfly what seem like 26/30 so they are large but not at all meaty. Kinda strange. We also enjoyed the fried oysters and were envying the on-the-halfshell platters we saw.

The best part of this restaurant seems to be the uncommon items! There is lots of grilled items available including rainbow trout. And there are plenty of healthy sides that looked very good including grilled yellow and zuchinni squash.

The menu is huge so it would take many more visits than we have to find all of our favorites. I'd just encourage you to roam outside of the standards and take a chance on "something different".

This is a small place in the historic part of Little Rock. Its usually busy in summer and it can be hard to find a place to sit. Its very casual and the fish tacos are the best. If you have an old big mouth billy bass you can give them [ they have you sign it and mount it on the wall, thousands are there] you can get a free meal. When your done take a walk down the street and see the sights. Cross the river and see the USS Razorback sub, or the President Clinton Library. Its a fun time and if its River fest parking is impossible and its not unusual to see a quarter of a million people. I have eaten fish tacos and then walked to see Hart play and then the B52s. Great city.

Tasty fish and seafood. Casual and fun atmosphere. Try the jumbo margarita. The grilled shrimp is good, too.

The sauce with the calamari was different and good, but the rest was pretty much your usual breaded and fried foods. It was way too crowded but the service was reasonably well organized for the huge crowd they seem to inexplicably draw.

The Flying Fish is a great find on the main drag of Little Rock. Located near the farmers market, shops, and nightspots, this line-up-and-order spot was crowded every time we passed by. Not to worry, the line moves quickly and seating is relatively easy to find. All of our selections were done just right, and the food tasted great. The decor fits the food and the atmosphere near the river. It's a great spot for a family, couples, or to start a evening with friends.
