This was our first experience with Indian food and we had no idea what to expect. Our waiter was very helpful in recommending dishes and explaining each item. We tried the Tandoori sampler and the goat curry, both were excellent. they offer 4 "heat" levels: mild, medium, hot, extra hot. We usually order hot when we eat Mexican or Thai, but decided to be conservative and order medium. VERY glad we did. Their medium was hotter than expected. We gained an appreciation of lassi (a yoghurt drink). It cooled the burn wonderfully! We are eager to return and try other items from the menu.

I have ordered off the menu and had the buffet. This is the best quality Indian food I have experienced in the U.S. . The service is always polite and courteous, too. A must every time I am in Little Rock.

We were in the mood for Indian food and decided to try the Taj Mahal. With a big name for a restaurant, we expected the food to be expensive, but we were pleasantly surprised that it was $10.99 for a buffet lunch on the weekends. The food selection wasn't huge but sufficient and of good flavor and quality ingredient. We especially like the 2 curries - chicken and mutton, rice pudding, and the fresh naan bread. Service at this restaurant was good. Dining area appears to be dimly lit, which can be a little uninviting since it was high noon when we went, but we would definitely go back again for the food.

My wife and I were passing through Little Rock and in the mood for Indian food. We read reviews for the Taj and decided to try for lunch. The Taj had set out a very nice buffet of eight main courses plus an equal number of salads, katcumber, chutneys, pakoras, etc. We were offered three sets of fresh, hot Naan. The food was excellent, the service was very attentive even for a buffet, and both of us ate all we needed to eat for $24 plus tip. If we lived here, we would be regulars. Very nice place!!

This is a really great restaurant. I love just about everything they serve. They have a lunch buffet for those that aren't quite sure What to get. There's a little bit of everything.
