“Interesting exhibits.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

We were there on Labor Day, so it was quite empty. As a result, we were given a personal tour of the green office building. Although, many of the exhibits are geared toward children, we found it very interesting.

“Kids had a ball!”

This exhibit has so many hands on things for the kids to do. They really had a blast and parents enjoy and learn also.

“Not just for kids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I visited after hearing everyone rave about this place since it opened. Well worth the trip. Exhibits are attractive, interactive and interesting as well as educational. The gift shop has so many neat items. Make sure you check this place out.

“Free, educational, and FUN!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

I wasn't sure what to expect at Heifer Village, but my 4 and 8 year old kids LOVED it! After we stopped at the bridge to watch the turtles and fish, we went into the educational center. The young man at the front desk was very helpful--told us that we should watch a certain video to get started (featured Alton Brown talking about how gifts of animals can help a community). Then, he handed each of my kids a Scavenger Hunt, to guide them through the interactive exhibits--they LOVED it! Even my 4 year old could count things, find pictured items, etc. This attraction far surpassed my expectations! In fact, my family is now saving money to buy a goat to gift.
Oh, and make sure you have a meal at the Cafe, it is EXCEPTIONAL!

“Good for a quick visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2013

Heifer International is an excellent organization dedicated to addressing the problem of world hunger. This facility does a good job of supporting that mission by educating the public about the need. Unfortunately, they don't have many exhibits and the ones that they do have seem geared towards very young children. I would like to see them add more interactive exhibits that use audio and visual in order to educate older visitors.

The gift shop is a must as a portion of all sales go to support the organization's mission. The t-shirts and other items are interesting and reasonably priced. There is also a snack bar onsite if you are hungry.
