If you can tolerate the crowded atmosphere, the Big Orange offers some big tasting burgers. You need to try the truffle burger. It's worth the hefty price.

“Good Burgers and Delicious Shakes”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

I was going to Little Rock for the weekend with my SOS and we decided to have lunch with my sister and her SOS. We thought The Big Orange would be a good place to go. I had some high expectations and though it was not as amazing, it was still very good.

The fried pickle spears were not tasty and the fried part would get soggy if you let them sit too long. I thought the pickle spears were too long. I didn't like the pimento cheese either. The oyster like crackers that came with it were terrible. Our starters weren't the best but thankfully, the burgers were delicious!

When it comes to the burgers and shakes, they have it right. I ordered the pistachio white chocolate shake and am really wishing that I could have another right now. For my burger order, three out of four of us ordered the Atom Bomb. Who doesn't like sriracha? It also had jack cheese, picked jalapeno, butter leaf lettuce, and chipotle-red pepper mayo. I thought the flavors tasted well together.

Would definitely go back again!

“Good quality food & drinks. It's a little pricey but worth it for a splurge.”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

I had heard about The Big Orange and decided to give it a try since it wasn't far from where I work. Prices are a bit steep but the food seems like it is all freshly prepared and of quality ingredients. The burgers are large and don't come with any sides like chips or fries. They do offer potato chips, regular house fries, sweet potato fries and truffle-herb-garlic fries ($2.75 -$5.00).

For starters, they offer several different dips ($4.50 - $6.50), six different salads ($8 - $9.50) and for those that don't like burgers a Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich and a Blackened Tilapia Sandwich ($8.50 each). The Angus Beef on the burgers are stated as being hormone free, antibiotic-free & pasture raised but if that's not for you, you can substitute the Beef for Turkey or a Vegetarian Patty. Here are some of the burgers.

Classic - American Cheese, Butter Leaf Lettuce, Tomato, Dill Pickle,
Red Onion, and Mayo...... 7.25
Hickory Smoke - Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Smokey-Sweet Barbeque Sauce,
Dill Pickle, and Fried Onion Strings................................. 8.00
Petit Jean Bacon & Avocado - American Cheese, Petit Jean Bacon,
Avocado, Butter Leaf Lettuce, Tomato, and Mayo ......... 8.50
Mushroom melt Havarti Cheese, American Cheese, Sautéed
Mushrooms, Caramelized Onion, and Aïoli .................... 8.50
Spicy Pimento Cheese - House-Made Spicy Pimento Cheese, and
Pickled Green Tomato.................................................... 7.75
Farmer’s Burger Havarti Cheese, Fried Egg, Petit Jean Bacon,
Butter Leaf Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, and Aïoli........ 9.25
Atom Bomb Jack Cheese, Pickled Jalapeño, Butter Leaf Lettuce,
Sriracha, and Chipotle-Red Pepper Mayo...................... 8.25
Maytag Blue - Blue Cheese, Pepper Jelly, Butter Leaf Lettuce,
Tomato, and Red Onion.................................................. 9.00

There's a full bar with a variety of beers, wines & mixed drinks to choose from. I had a White Russian ($7.50) and I must say even though it wasn't real big it was good & strong. There's also a variety of shakes and floats that sounded heavenly but I will have to try one of those another time. Shakes are hand-dipped and feature Vanilla ice-cream. I have listed some of them here.

Plain Jane Vanilla - with Madagascar Vanilla Bean, topped with Whipped Cream.....3.75
Chocolate Factory - topped with Whipped Cream..... 3.75
Strawberry - topped with Whipped Cream and Fresh Strawberries ......4.00
I dream in Cookies and Cream - layered Crushed OREOs & Whipped Cream.....4.50
Lemon Ice Box - layered with Crushed Graham Cracker and Whipped Cream........4.50
Whopper Malt - Vanilla Malt layered with Crushed Whoppers and Whipped Cream.....4.50
Banana Cream Pie - layered with crushed Nilla Wafers and Whipped Cream....4.50
Dulce de Leche - with Rich Caramel, topped with Whipped Cream....4.50
Pistachio & White Chocolate - topped with Whipped Cream.....4.50

They also offer a kids menu and these do come with a side item.
Chicken Snackers.................$4.95
Hamburger............................$5.95
Cheeseburger.......................$5.95

I see myselt going back real soon to try out a different burger and maybe even saving room for a Banana Cream Pie shake...right after I get my next paycheck. :-)

“Big Orange = Big Awesome!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Big Orange has a wonderful menu of hamburgers, turkey burgers and in-house made veggie burgers! The fries and chips are also hand cut in the restaurant and they have the most amazing flavor! Their specailty sauces pair perfectly with the chips and fries also. For dessert, don't skip out on the super tasty shakes.

“Good burgers”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

New restaurant with a few twists than a usual burger joint. Worth taking the kids then sidewalk shopping in the Promenade.
