Loved how you could watch ships coming in and all. The trails were fantastic too.

“Great if you want to be outdoors”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

This is great for walking or biking. They allow you to bring your dogs, and there is a dog park nearby, as well as a playground for kids. Be careful of dog poo & lock your doors...unfortunately! It's educational, as well. They have special events from time to time, also.

“big dam bridge”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

Fun place for families to ride bikes or walk across the Arkansas River. With access from either LR or NLR....and on the NLR side there is beautiful Burns Park with lots of bike trails most of which are shady and have a great view of the river. The park has soccer and softball fields, tennis courts,a BMX track and even a Funland for the little kids (kinda like a minature state fair with rides). I'm glad I live so close to so much fun stuff.

“spectacular hiking experience”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

Little Rock has some wonderful hiking/biking trails. There are three pedestrian bridges crossing the Arkansas River, This one and the one next to Clinton Library are the most spectacular. This one is particularly fun because it is built over a working lock and dam. Nearby is another pedestrian bridge crossing a tributary, Little Maumelle River which leads to Two Rivers Park. Very scenic hike, you'll almost always see deer if you have a keen eye.

“You Have to Do This”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

On a recent trip to Little Rock I took my young son to the bridge to watch the barges on the Arkansas River go through the Murray Locks. We got there at sunset and the view was wonderful. We both enjoyed the view from the bridge and my son was thrilled to see the locks in action. I was impressed with the number of people there who come out to walk, jog or ride their bikes over the river. Young, old, families with kids, couples, they were all there. It was a lot of fun and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Little Rock.
