Very well done historic building with lots of city info and history. Covers all historic info of the area with beautiful surroundings. This is a gem of a visit spot and if you have an extra hour in the area, please take the time to enjoy.

New to Arkansas, we made sure to stop by the Old State House within the first few months of moving. Free, educational, and with personable staff and volunteers, the exhibitions (permanent and temporary) highlight the social and political history of the state while showcasing the beautiful architecture and history of the Old State House itself. A current exhibition "Lights, Camera, Arkansas" is clearly curated with a passion to represent the multiple connections of film to the state. Very fun, will visit again. Can't wait to visit again.

This Old State House museum was really fabulous. Very informative. We learned so much about Little Rock and Arkansas history. It was also a donation only museum and I wished I had more money on me to drop in the bucket. So I bought a T-shirt from the gift shop to help support it. Thank you!

We visited on a Saturday morning, and spent a couple of enjoyable hours. The exhibits were well done. We especially enjoyed the movie exhibits, and that of the first ladies' dresses.

Anyone who lives in Arkansas and is interested in history should check out the Old State House Museum. Although the museum isn't thrilling, it does do a good job of teaching Arkansas history and it's cool to see where Arkansas's leaders met during the Civil War and rest of the 19th and early 20th century. The Old State House Museum should not be as high as priority on your to do list as the Clinton Library or the Arkansas State Capital, but it's still worth checking out.
