“I Should have checked Tripadvisor before we booked!”

We had to go to Cedar City for an emergency visit with an old friend. I picked this hotel as we are members of Choice Privileges and usually stay with the chain. This hotel was a disappointment. It was clean but TV reception was terrible and the shower/tub was slippery. I asked for a non-slip mat and was told that they don't carry them in any Choice Hotel. Not safe when you are an older person. Also the bed was awful. When I complained about it I was told all Choice Hotels had the same Serta beds. This may be true but I wonder when the bed was purchased. Breakfast was OK but not as good as some of the other chain's hotels. Won't stay here again.

Stayed in this hotel one night. The room smelled moldy and old. The worst, I found lots of hair in the bathroom, hanging on the towels and in the bathtub ( you know those tiny curly black hair)! YUCK!
Breakfast room smelled like a bucket of bleach. The only good thing. Waffelmaker at breakfast. :-)

Outdated, crowded rooms. The only electrical outlets in the room were those being used by the TV and lamps. The only nice part of this hotel is the front desk area. I could overlook all this if it wasn't for the disgusting pool. There is mold growing on the side of the pool and the pool deck. After swimming through 4 or 5 strands of floating hair I left in disgust to take a shower. Overpriced for the quality.

The room we had at the Quality inn was 50% larger than any previous room on our road trip.

The inn is unpreposessing from the outside, but the rooms are huge and immaculately maintained. It has all the normal amenities and a hot breakfast. If you don't like that, there is a Denny's across the street.

The only complaint was the shower. The shower head lets almost no water through, and the temperature fluctuated about 15 degrees on either side of the set point, making it a thrilling time. It got old changing the setting every time the temperature changed, so I ended up enduring cold, hot, cold, hot for my shower.

Room Tip: Shower at your next hotel.

We are Choice Hotel members so like to stay within the chain. Convenient on & off the I 15. Denny's just across the street & several fast food places nearby. Rooms were quiet, basic & clean but no hot water for showers even at 4pm with minimal guests checked in. Manager was informed of this upon check out. We stayed there again 1 week later (on our way home from Montana) with the same results. Some of the major TV channels were fuzzy. The jacuzzi looked dirty & there were no towels available. The indoor pool looked clean & felt warm (same temp as shower!) The "hot" breakfast was marginal. The scrambled eggs looked fake, the waffles were rubbery & the warm sausage gravy was to be used over cold biscuits. Even the donuts were awful. I ate the cold hard boiled eggs & yogurt...should have gone to Denny's! I've had this same breakfast @ other Quality Inns & everything was delicious. One bad stay could've been a fluke but with two unsatisfactory stays seems the norm.

Great location in cedar city, the price was good, the carpet need cleaned.
The indoor pool was cold, the hot tub was ok, but needs updated, you must request towels to be brought to pool.
No coffee pot in room, breakfast
was not as advertised, mediocre to poor.

After a very long day of driving we finally stopped at this hotel. It was only after we decided not to camp at the KOA. The hotel was just what you expect for the price and location.
