First thing in the morning the toilet overflowed. We went to the front desk and only one person was working, she was having to man the breakfast area as well as deal with complaints. There were two highschool sporting events in town so the place was packed. I felt bad for the front desk person because she didn't have time to find us a plunger and deal with restocking the breakfast area, I blame that on poor management. I figured it would be faster just to buy a plunger at the hardware store up the street, which I did. So be prepared to solve your own toilet issues. Why don't these places get better toilets? They are only 75$ for a powerful toilet. The hotel is in a great central location, walking distance from the center of town, the Shakespeare Festival and the college.

After a very long drive today we were looking for a nice clean comfortable hotel that had an accessible location for our trip out of town in the morning. We drove by this place and are glad we stopped. Front desk was very helpful, price was good, room is large, bed comfortable. Free internet, breakfast, coffee in room, TV, phone, refrig., microwave included. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back as there is no traffic noise what so ever.

At best this is a one star hotel. The room was small. The bathroom was very small. We were "upgraded" to a queen size bed for two people. Originally they placed my wife and I in a smaller room with a full sized bed! The heat was extremely hard to control in the room, and I had to turn off the entire unit just to get it to stop blowing hot air on my face in bed even though the thermostat was set to 65 degrees. Very disappointed all the way around.

BW El Rey was very clean and comfortable. We paid for a room with a double bed for two people, and since it must have not been a very busy night, they gave us a king bed instead. The room was very clean and nicely arranged. Shower was great. The continental breakfast was one of the best I have ever seen. And this all from like the second or third cheapest hotel we could find in Cedar City, so it was a value. Definitely a good experience.

BW El Rey was certainly value for money. The front desk was friendly and quick in getting us our room since we were very tired after a long drive from Moab, UT.

The room we got was decent, clean, and had the features we required for a satisfying stay. There was a flat screen tv, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a working heater since it was below freezing in Cedar City when we were there. Furthermore, I was able to get some work done since there was high speed internet available. Another plus was the room was located at the back of the property so we had no problem about street noise and getting a good night's rest. The lights outside the rooms in our wing though were not turned on during the night so it was pretty dark if somebody would go to their room in the evening.

Continental breakfast was complimentary as well as a selection of newspapers in the lobby. The staff would check every now and then to see if the food items needed replenishment. The dining area is located near the lobby. This could be a problem when the weather turns sour since there was no covered path leading to this area if the room was located at the back.

It was not the newest lodging in Cedar City, but for the modest rate we paid, we had no complaints. They were renovating the lobby when we were there, to address some of the complaints that the property was dated.

We received a very good deal. The hotel was great value, and staff was very pleasant.
The shower was a little heavy duty for a shorter person but ok. Breakfast room clean and food quality good.

Thanks

Very clean and very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a bit outdated, but they are clean and mostly quiet. Breakfast was decent but needed another waffle maker as was very busy and had a long line and ran out of beverage cups. Room had a coffee maker and coffee, but don't drink coffee so tea or hot cocoa would have been a nice choice in room. Good value for sure.
