Owner description: The Adams Shakesepearean Theater, one of the venues of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, hosted its last performances in 2015. The Utah Shakespeare Festival now performs in three spaces, near the same location. the Engelstad Theater (a 900 seat outdoor replica of Shakespeare's Globe theater), the Randall L. Jones theater (an indoor, 750 seat space), and the Eileen and Alan Anes Studio Theater (a 200 seat studio performance space).

I love the Utah Shakespeare Festival and I LOVE seeing plays in the Adams...but I understand it will be removed when the new theater complex is completed. I'm excited for the new space...but will definitely miss the Adams and it's location. As I understand it...when it was built it was the closest representation of Shakespeare's Globe to be found. A bother when it rains...but otherwise a really really lovely experience to watch Shakespeare on this stage!

The Utah Shakespeare Festival is top notch. The plays in both the outdoor and indoor theatre are always wonderful. We have been coming to the Festival for many years and it never disappoints. In addition to exceptionally performed plays there are many free activities that add to the overall experience and are free -- a nightly Greenshow, pre-show orientations, morning talk-backs to discuss the previous day's plays, props seminar, costume seminar and actors seminar. So much to enjoy!

I have seen many Shakespeare plays - many of them more than once. This was the first time I have seen The Tempest. The two actors who played the drunks were hilarious. Great Play.

Excellent theater with no bad seats. Saw “The Tempest”, which was excellent. You may want to bring a seat cushion if you need some extra padding. It was quite warm, so I suggest you buy/bring a fan. Other plays we saw were Peter and The Star Catcher and Anything Goes. All were top notch performances.

Both productions were very well performed and gave many novel and entertaining interpretations that I found to be very useful in understanding and enjoying the play. I also enjoyed the play orientations given by Fred Adams before each performance.
