A classic B&B. Every room, every nook, every cranny, is stuffed chock-full of tchotchkes. You'll either love it or be horrified. I loved that it horrified me.

On a more serious note, the management was really great: friendly, efficient, flexible and all around good. The room was clean, the internet was strong, the office was useful. It's close to campus, with lots of parking.

So, if you have no qualms about having a bust of an African women with toilet paper on her head on the back of your toilet, this is a really good place to stay in Cedar City.

I stayed here due to fatigue with Marriotts, Hampton Inns, etc. Great business rate and a nice change from the chains. Located adjacent to SUU which made my business easier. Not the best layout as far as working desks, but I find myself with laptop in lap most times anyway. Wireless was great and I was able to print out my boarding pass on their office computer. Also very comfortable bed and due to leisure travellers, full breakfast!

We stayed at the BYI in October, must say a nice warm greeting by the owner and average rooms, maybe just a little twee with a bit too much chintz.

We had the English room which has a roll-top bath, and a balcony at the front which we had specifically chosen, however the bath had a dirty tide mark around it, yuck! and the balcony has seen better days. Overall the room was comfortable, but you just know when things are not quite right.

The breakfast, well that was downright awful, the owners no longer live there, have a number of B&Bs in Cedar City and consequently miss out on the little detail that make it a good experience. Come 8.30am there must have been at least 20 people all waiting for food (they had come from the other B&B's for food as well). To top it all the owners had mixed up their start time for food, the husband stood there blaming his wife and the breakfast ended up being stew from the previous night. There were not enough seats for the influx of people at that time.

Overall we have stayed in some fantastic American B&Bs that are run with the personal touch, this unfortunately is not one of them, so therefore we are unable to recommend the Big Yellow Inn to anyone.

Our first stay was for pleasure. We ended up meeting a new business opportunity during breakfast. The hosts were very accommodating since we are vegetarian. The room was very nicely decorated and the rest of the house was very ornate - a huge library and grand staircases. Our next visit was for business and although we didn't get to stay as long it was again very enjoyable. We stayed in the Hunter room the first time and Blue Haven the second. Hope to visit again soon and try all the rooms.
