“Abbey Inn - Cedar City”
Reviewed May 20, 2008

We stayed at the Abbey Inn from May 8-13, 2008.

The room was clean with all the typical amenities, two queen beds, desk, table, fridge, micro, coffee maker, hair dryer, etc.

The complementary breakfast was very good and included scrambled eggs, bacon, link sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, bagels, bread, muffins, waffles (make yourself), fruit, hot and cold cereal and all the typical beverages. They did have yogurt, but maybe they only have that during the week, because we did not seen any after the first few days of our stay.

They only problem we had was that the water from the shower would run down the shower head onto the floor.

The hotel is about equal distance from both Zion and Bryce Canyon, which is nice if you'd like to see both parks (1.5 hrs)

We would stay here again.

The rooms in this two storey motel are very nicely decorated with dark wood furnishings. They are clean and very quiet. Unlike most hotels, the beds are outstanding. The high-speed wireless internet connection is reliable. They have a sizable indoor pool and a hot tub that we saw through the pool building windows but we didn't go into the pool building. They serve a nice, full complementary breakfast including waffles, eggs and sausage. They are located just three blocks from the freeway (I-15) with several fast food restaurants within walking distance. This motel is a great value.

What a find! This is a very nice hotel. Large, clean and comforable room with a fridge, microwave, desk, wireless internet and free parking located about two blocks off an I-15 Exit. The room decor was very nice and the kingsize bed was incredibly comfortable with lots of pillows provided. Bed linens were above average in quality as were the towels (which were plentiful).
The adjacent breakfast house has plenty of seating with a tv for us news junkies. Hot food selections included: sausages, bacon, scrambles eggs, biscuits, gravy, waffles, actual home cooked oats, bagels and toast. Cold items included cereal, a nice fruit salad, yogurt, regular and low-fat and a selection of fruit (apples/oranges/bananas) plus coffee, tea and juices.
This is a total recommend!

We stayed at the Abbey Inn Sept. 14 and15, 2007. Everyone from the receptionist, the maids and the breakfast workers were helpful and nice.
The room was very clean with all the typical amenities, two queen beds, desk, table, fridge, micro, coffee maker, etc.
The pool is large and clean located in a separate building across the parking lot.
The complementary breakfast was very good and included scrambled eggs, bacon, link sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, waffles, fruit, hot and cold cereal and all the typical beverages.
Our price was $89.10 per night. Which I think is higher than normal due to the fall edition of the Shakespeare Festival that was going on.
We have no complaints at all and will stay here again.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Abbey Inn while attending the Utah Shakespeare Festival. We enjoyed a clean, comfortable room. The complimentary breakfast included scrambed eggs, bacon, sausage, and Belgium waffles. At the advice of the desk person, we tried the Pastry Pub for dinner our first night and returned the next night. Great salads. Boomer's was disappointing for lunch. Last year, we tried Milt's for dinner and found the food ordinary and overpriced. Hint: look online for coupons for the Abbey Inn.

We really liked the Abbey Inn. That area of southern Utah is pretty sparsely populated and there aren't many towns along I-15 other than St. George and Cedar City. We chose the Abbey Inn from the AAA tour book.

It was pretty much all you could hope for in a "motel row" roadside motel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and better appointed than the norm for this type of motel. The pool was well maintained. And the complimentary full breakfast buffet (which was served in a cute converted house behind the motel) was very good. All at a reasonable price.

Some friends and I went to Vegas for a convention on April 12th, and we heard that there was an overnight snow at BrianHead, Utah. Since it was a 2.5 hour drive from Vegas, we needed a place to stay overnight. From the reviews we felt that the Abbey Inn in nearby Cedar City would be a good place to stay.

We loved the place! The indoor pool and hot tub were great. It was below 50 outside so the run from the room to the pool house was cold but refreshing!!

The breakfast the next morning was great also. They serve breakfast in a renovated house right beside the hotel. Everything they served was great. I had been wanting sausage, gravy, and biscuits for a long time, and they had it!! It was a great start to our day.

We purchase a room/ski package which was a great deal. I really recommend this place. I will be back.
