Owner description: A smaller version of Bryce Canyon, this 2,500-foot deep basin filled with strange limestone formations in a vivid array of colors and hues offers breathtaking views on a five-mile drive along the rim. This naturally formed amphitheater has guided walks in the summer and a few designated hiking trails.

“Beautiful”

It is beautiful here. A nice little stop on your way to one of the big parks in the area. Not very big. There is a walk where you can see marmots.

“Beautiful rock scenery”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Cedar Breaks has much in common with its neighbours Bryce and Zion, yet it seems to be less celebrated and consequently less crowded. This may be due to it being a "National Monument" rather than a "National Park" (seemingly just an administrative distinction) but it's a park in all but name. The 3.5 mile Ramparts Trail is a great walk, and the views from the 4 or 5 parkings areas round the rim are all subtly different. One day it's going to attract the crowds.

“Incredible!!”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

What can I say that would be enough to describe this wonder? Anything God makes is awe inspiring anyway but Cedar Breaks is especially impressive.
Go at sunset for more contrast in the the shapes of the pinnacles and richer colors in the Navajo sand stone layering.

“Gorgeous”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

Beautiful scenery, less crowded than Bryce (and cheaper, if you don't happen to hit a public lands day). Aspen were yellow on the rim with spires of red rock at the "breaks." Not a lot of hiking trails in the immediate park. $4 fee for a week more than reasonable.

“Lovely place for a quick stop”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

This is a very scenic park with a lovely drive in. Stopped here for lunch on the way to Bryce. Plenty of picnic areas and some short walks for the more adventurous.
