The mattress was way old, the room smelled like bleach, the TV didn't get a good picture, nobody picked up the phone. No glassware in the room (just paper cups...really?).
It reminded me of a Days Inn in Kansas...maybe a little better, but with smaller rooms. Of course in Manhattan the rooms are always small. But if they're lovely and well maintained then it doesn't really matter. I didn't sleep well at all.
