I stayed at The Roosevelt during a very hot week in NYC. The hotel lobby and elevators were uncomfortably warm. The room was small, dark, and drab (my room was cool, but another guest complained that she could not stay in her room as it was too muggy). There were chips in the porcelain tub making the bathroom look/feel dirty. There was one large, framed photograph in the room above the bed, and other than that the walls were bare. The TV had only analog channels which was disappointing. I ate breakfast in the restaurant the first day (expensive) so opted to cross the street to Cosi and Blake & Todd Fine Foods the other mornings. The location is great, the hotel is not.
