If you want to be in NYC and not waste hundreds of dollars on a place to sleep, this might be a great choice for you! Across the street from Central Park, close to subway stops, very small but clean rooms. Bed only, no chair or couch. Also has a closet and small TV. WiFi is an extra charge!

We stayed for four nights (Nov 30 - Dec 3) while on a sightseeing/theatre trip to NYC.Got the room at a terrific price on a blind purchase discount site, and wondered if it might be too good to be true. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is old and worn, but kept clean, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We loved the neighbourhood, and getting downtown via the Subway was easy. We were moved to a top floor larger room after the first day (they did the moving for us, so we didn't have to wait around) and really appreciated the extra space and the view.

Don't expect luxury, but it is very good value for the money.

Ive been staying for 6 nights from11/28 to 12/04, and what i have to say are the following:

1: every hotel rooms in NYC are small so lets face it, we dont need to much space to sleep only, if u want some space you should go to 5star hotels and pay much more.
2: my room was at 8th floor and felt Little old, but who cares??? every day was clean and bed was very confortable, so after walking by the city during 12 hours i only wanted a good bed and i got it.
3: bathroom also small but hot wáter anytime, towels and tissues well provided and clean.
4:kind staff who let me check in at 10am! out there was freezing and my flight arrived at the morning. and they kept my luggages untill i took the cab to airport at the night.

So what i paid for this hotel is pretty much fair, the location is ok since you have the metro C 2 blocks away and you can reach Times Square in 15 mins, and 2 things i most value about the hotel which are clean and comfy beed and clean and good wáter pressured bathrooms, they can offer.

I stayed at this hotel overnight and it was fine and very inexpensive. It's clean, the staff is very nice, and it reminded me of a European hotel - small rooms, bed, armoire, phone, TV, bathroom - it's very basic. But if you're in NYC to see plays, sightsee, and aren't planning to sit in your room, I recommend it.

The good part about the hotel is it is On the Park. And they provide basic facilities (clean bedding, towels, hot water) for a low price. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
That said, the room was too small for two people - we did not have any place to move around after putting our luggage. The carpet seemed like it had not been cleaned for quite some time. Don't try to put anything in the cupboard, it may come off.
Given that we were out most of the day, it did not bother us much and it was good enough to get some good sleep. It's not for experience. The Deli down the road is good with very friendly staff.

I stayed here with 4 of my friends, basically you get what you pay for!
very basic but friendly staff willing to help.
it was nice to stay more in the real life part of New York.
lovely friendly deli at the bottom of the road which was great for cups of tea and breakfast!!

Room Tip: budget break with friends....not for romance or families!
