This is a pretty small hotel - only 7 rooms per floor but 28 floors worth. Never felt crowded, maid service was extremely friendly & effective. I was on the 17th floor so I can recommend a higher floor/corner room if you can get it. I could still hear the "jackhammers" on the street below when we arrived @ 1am! Yikes! No noise the next night - thankfully. Honestly the location is hard to beat. I typically stay @ the Renaissance @ Time Sq. but that is a completely different hotel experience - "highly recommended" by the way! There is NO Food available currently @ this hotel but there is one of the biggest & best 24/7 Deli right next door with fresh food & all types of food & beverage items. BTW: There are no refrigerators in the rooms & the rooms cannot be described as "spacious" but comfortable in a european-kind of way.

Room Tip: High floor/Corner Room

We had a nice 4 people room in the 29th floor. So a nice view on next buildings including a water reservoir, and the sky. The room is clean and agreable. Free coffee and tea were available in the mezzanine floor, and they are plenty of delis and restaurants around. As europeans we appreciated the hotel setup which allowed us not to be constantly chased for tips. I recommend this hotel for anybody wanting to visit the city. Fr

This is our favorite hotel when we visit NYC.

It's a great location, just off 5th Avenue, near the NY Public Library and Bryant Park, convenient to Rockefeller Center, Times Square and restuarants.

The staff is wonderful: friendly, professional and competent.

This cookie cutter, 30 story tower, has 7 rooms per floor, a small lobby, and two computers, printers plus 24/7 coffee and tea service on the mezzanine. The corner rooms have more square footage so worth the difference in rates, if any. The hotel is generally well run and the rooms were update in 2013. The location is great, near Bryant Park and the famous NY Public library (go see the famous reading rooms) as well as the subway. Grand Central Station/Chrysler Building are a short walk. There is a 24/7 deli/bodega next door.

Room Tip: Book a corner room- they are larger.

The best features of this hotel are its Midtown East location and non-microscopic rooms. Compared to similarly-priced New York chains, the hotel room actually had space to move around, along with good-sized closets.

The room could have been cleaner, however. The sink never got a good scrubbing and I suspect the carpet was not vacuumed during our four-night stay. Walking around barefoot was disconcerting.
