The Hotel @ New York City
Ranked #316 of 468 Hotels in New York City

At first, I´ve been in NYC many times. Everytime I chose different hotel to see more from the city culture and people. Ramada Eastside is very nice hotel (typical NY building) in very good location - if you want to see typical NY sights you can bee closer, but sometimes depends on price which is quite positive in Ramada. The weakest point is the breakfast which is very very poor and every day the same. Rather go elsewhere to eat.
Globally speaking I spend 2 weeks in Ramada and it was a pleasant stay.

This is the perfect little hotel in a fantastic neighborhood. Great bars and restaurants, essential services (drugstores, laundry etc.) and Starbucks all close by. Plus, it's close to the subway. Clean and quaint. I have stayed here many, many times.

after reading and re-reading numerous reviews about this hotel I wasn't expecting too much from this hotel tbh, I am so glad that I chose this hotel as our base for our New York getaway. The hotel for me, ticked all the boxes from the friendly staff who helped us on more than one occasion, they even book our return journey to the airport which saved a lot of hassle. our room was a good sized room with a very comfy bed and shower that worked as it should (can sometimes take 10 mins to run warm tho), and the breakfast was always a welcome start to the day with a good selection to choose from. This for us was a always a good start to our day as it was so convenient.

The hotel is in a very central location and makes for easy walking distance around midtown, from the Empire state a few blocks away and Grand Central Station/ Chrysler bldg. a 10-15 min walk up Lexington ave. the area is clean and everyone seemed very friendly.

I would certainly use this hotel on a return visit to the city and would not hesitate to recommend to friends/ family.

my personal opinion is that if people can only complain about a 'slow elevator' or eating off 'plastic plates' then that says more about them than the hotel itself.

overall the Ramada gets a 'thumbs up' from me.

Room Tip: pick up the leaflets in the lobby for various offers around town.

Yes, there is functioning wifi. Location is fine. Rooms are large enough. Breakfast is very unappetizing, self service on styrofoam plates, plastic cutlery. Elevator is scary, very slow. Air conditioning in the room is a disaster. Since it has a thermostat, as the temperature goes down it starts itself with a very loud noise in the middle of the night! No sleep. Hotel manager is quite unfriendly. Harry at the reception was very kind and helpful. Thanks to him.

Dear Elvanayse,
Thank you for your review. We’re sorry you were not overall impressed with your stay. We offer our free breakfast on disposable plates because we do not have the proper space for dishwashing. We apologize for any disturbance caused by the air conditioning system.
The hotel staff is continually trained to be as friendly and helpful as possible and we will continue to work with them.
The majority of our guests find their stay to be very comfortable and enjoyable. Our rates are very competitive and we always offer free breakfast, WIFI, and domestic phone calls.
We hope you will give us another chance in the future.
