“New York mother & daughter week”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

Location was brilliant and easy to get around. Appreciated the breakfast which was filling. Rooms a bit on the small side but as we only used it to sleep in, didn't cause us much of a problem. Bathroom also a bit cramped but the shower was hot and powerful. Staff were helpful when we needed them. Hotel arranged pick up toreturn to the airport. Be wary as we didn't know that we were also dropping off at La Guardia airport and were cutting it a bit fine for check in. We weren't made aware of this when booking!

I´ve found this hotel through the forums at tripadvisor.
It has a fairly rate and the rooms are good. It has a great quality-price relation.
Best thing is its location, You are close to several amount of places on the East side.
Dont forget to get your MTA card and go wandering around!,

The Ramada Eastside is a definite gem in the midtown/gramercy/murray hill section of NYC. Two blocks away from the nearest subway station, three blocks away from 34th street, and about ten blocks from Times Square. My friend and I arrived over an hour before the 3pm check-in and our room was ready. The lobby was clean, uncluttered, and the front desk clerk was very professional. We booked a 2 queen bed room, which was more than enough space for two people. The room was very clean and smelled nice upon entry. I requested a non-smoking, upper floor room which was honored with no hassle (Room 1014). Microwave and fridge were in the room (something we didn't request) but was an added bonus! I slept well on the tempurpedic bed, which was sooo comfy! Free breakfast had a variety of choices.
The negatives:
-Air was still cold after turning it on high heat. We turned it off completely and were fine.
-A bit noisy (which is to be expected in NYC). The blaring horns eventually stopped and we slept just fine.
-The elevators are small.
Overall, the Ramada Eastside offers great value in an ideal location. We felt very safe walking at night. This trip was last minute and this hotel met all of our needs. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Try to request an upper floor to reduce hearing noise at night

Dear P C,
Thank you for your review. We’re happy to hear that you and your friend enjoyed your stay and were able to get the type of room you requested. We are sorry about the few issues you faced with the hotel. Though we are located in a quieter area than Times Square, New York City is still very noisy. We apologize if this kept you awake. We will also look into the issue with the heating unit in the room. Our staff works very hard to make sure our guests are happy with every aspect of their stay.
We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon.

Had stayed at the Park Central which was undergoing renovations and on return from Aruba we did not want to return there. A guest recommended the Ramada on Eastside. No internet available so I personally checked it out myself. The requirements were simple - comfort-value-location. We stayed for 4 nights and got all three. Be aware that the rooms are filled with the bed so not a great deal of room. Not a problem for us two as all we needed was a place to sleep and change. The bed had a new Tempur mattress which took a night or two to get used to and the bathroom was a good size. The skipper "Harry" and his female counterpart were more than helpful. The rooms were daily attended and kept very clean. There is a business centre with a gym and free computer access. The bonus was the included breakfast which was a great start to our busy shopping and sightseeing day. Nothing is too much trouble here and the location is easy access to Times Square and a 15 minute walk to the Village. Well recommended.

Room Tip: Traffic noise after 10 pm could be a problem for some of the rooms facing Lexington Avenue.

I stay here for most of business trips. It's a great location between posh streets and neighbourhood streets so you can walk one way if you're trying to save money and another if you want something special. Walking distance to Grand Central. The hotel is professionally run, clean, and has everything you need. The rooms are a little stingey on space and amenities, but more than adequate. And can't beat the price for the location.

Stayed at Ramada Eastside on Lexington for 3rd time on recent business trip. By New York standards it has a lot going for it at the price, its cheap the location is midtown, breakfast and free wi-fi are included. The bedroom is are nearly all taken up by the bed and the bathroom is fine. There is a small gym. The staff are efficient if not overly frienldy and the little Japanese restaurant across the street is great.

Room Tip: Try to have a room that is not on facing onto Lexington which can be very noisy

We were scheduled at another hotel, but the reservation somehow got canceled. AppleCore hotel group owns 5 properties and they placed us here instead. Turns out it was closer to MSG which worked out very well for us.
Hotel was small and cramped, but most NYC hotels are.
VERY clean, no signs of bedbugs or dirt, very comfy pillows and memory foam mattresses. Clean mold free bathroom. Good heat. (Windows opened on cold nights to help keep our beverages cold).
Front desk extremely friendly especially with assisting me to get my AAA discount even though I had left my card at home.

Definitely will return as food, market, diner, and even a nail and chair massage place are very close by.

Room Tip: We were directly behind the elevator and still heard no offending noises
