For $179 plus tax, it was OK. Rooms are small.

No free WiFi. Cant believe a hotel these days does not offer free wifi. Just 2 computers on 10th floor

Parking down the street for $25.

Otherwise it was decent and newly refurbished

I recently took my 13 year old son to NYC for his birthday, usually stay at the W, this was like the W lite. Room was bigger than expected ,very clean, modern decor ,comfy beds, small but functional bathroom .Staff was young, friendly, and helpful. Found the buisness center very helpful for looking up adresses of stores and restaurants. The unairconditioned elevator was a little slow but in the grand scheme not a deal breaker. Would stay there again had an overall good experience.

this is a boutique hotel with bigger than normal rooms for New York. The rooms do vary in size and some look onto a wall which makes the rooms dark so make sure you ask where you are going to be staying. It has a great lounge and roof terrace on tenth floor which is great to just go and sit while you p;an your day. there are plenty of small shops nearby where you can buy drinks and snacks so it is a good place to sit and chill between sightseeing and restaurants. There are lots of really good places to eat around the area and all within walking distance. will definitely go back here again.

Room Tip: ask for a window with a view and ask how the size of the room compares to others on that floor.

Really a four-and-a-half overall. Nicely located between our midtown and Soho destinations. We took the middle-size room, it was "Superior room, king bed". The 180 square foot room + small bath was large enough, and was reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable, the room felt larger because of modern decor and a high ceiling. It was very quiet in our room. Dim lighting reminiscent of Europe and Montreal.
Nice lounge (and outer patio) on top floor where breakfast was served and for free internet access. We would certainly return to this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. My first night at this hotel was a nightmare. The room was at the back on 4th floor but the generator noise made it impossible for me to sleep. Not to mention that the bed size was 59 inches (1.52 cm) for two people so I could not move in the bed.
Not to mention that due to the room size I had to put the suitcase between my bed and the window so had to jump over it if I wanted to get off the bed. This is what they call the standard size room.
Though I asked for a room change, they were full so had to wait till the following day.
Though the new room was larger (still on 4th floor) the noise level was as bad if not worse as the room was on the corner of 3rd avenue. The issue with this hotel are their guillottine windows...though they have double glazing they don´t shut properly at the sides, e.g. you can move them back and forth when they are shut. This to me is appalling for a newly refurbished hotel.
Ah, and in the new room hot water in the shower was not working so we had to call the plumber. The person was extremely nice and competent but still the issue was long to fix so had to take a cold shower before going out to dinner and the issue was fixed later that evening.

Due to my request for reimbursement due to the lack of sleep at 5am on the forth night, I got a night for free. To be honest I think all I should have paid was 1 night at the most...but I was too sleepy to ask.

Internet for 10 dollars a day is a ripoff

The taxi to the airport arrangement at the hotel is very convenient and friendly. I would recommend it if you want to avoid the bus hassle.

Personnel in general was extremely friendly and kind. The problem is that they are stuck with the hotel structural limitations so they can´t really do much.

Location is great. Highly recommended for going out and visiting places

Room Tip: Maybe a superior room on the top floor would be less noisy The terrace is very nice Complimentary internet is available on the 10th floor
