Booked this hotel for a girls weekend in NYC. This was my second visit and they impressed me yet again. With four to a room space was very important. The rooms are huge and clean and had everything we needed like a couch, fridge, wine opener, glasses and comfy beds. The hotel had been told ahead of time we were celebrating birthdays and we arrived to wine and a lovely cheese tray in each of our rooms. They stored our luggage, recommended great restaurants and even arranged for a limo that was probably cheaper than cabs for our ride to the airport. All of my friends were very impressed with the amenities, the great service and the location of the hotel. Well done Courtyard Marriott. Thanks for making my 50th extra special

We chose the hotel due its location.
Very central, we did most of the sightseeing on foot.
Although there was no breakfast included, the services like free internet (both on hotel's computer and wifi) and printing services worked perfectly.
Elevators were a little slow and sometimes we had to wait a little. But since we were on holidays, it was ok to wait.

We stayed over Easter - 2 adults and three older kids. Location is fantastic and service is very good and friendly. Check-in was quick. Don´t expect luxury - this is a standard NY hotel, but very good value for money. Rooms are OK - probably a big bigger than you would normally expect in Midtown, but pretty basic. Good beds with exception of the pull out sofa. No restaurant for dinner, but a lot of options close by.

I requested an early checkin and when arriving at 10:00am the room was ready on the 26th floor which was very good service. Staying only one night we didnt use many amenities but had a good look around and the hotel looks and is very nice. Bell services were efficient and so were the reception staff.

Instead of driving in for an important morning meeting in Manhattan, the four of us (2 adults, 2 preschoolers) stayed here for a night during Easter week using points (published rates were absolutely crazy for Easter week/Tribeca Film Festival week).

There are many positives about this hotel. The first is that is has been renovated in 2013 and it shows. Front desk staff was very nice and check in was a breeze. The hotel has multiple elevators and all were very fast and spacious. The 12th floor "lobby" is set up like a lounge but there were plenty of places to sit and eat breakfast. It has a modern coffeehouse feel to it (bookshelves, tables with power outlets, comfy couches, flat screen TVs and lots of space to move around). The staff at the breakfast bar was nice too and delivered your order to where you were seating. (e.g. They find you). I don't think they serve lunch or dinner though but the space is always open.

Our king room with sofa bed was on the 22nd floor and overlooked 3rd ave. Very spacious for Manhattan and clean. Bathroom is clean (nothing broken, good water pressure for shower and toilet flush). Sofa bed mattress is thinner than I thought it would be but it didn't matter to our kids. Adults may find it not as comfortable as the regular bed which was very nice.

Dorm sized fridge is empty so you can put your stuff in there. Duane Reed is next door and they have everything you can possible need for reasonable prices. If you're too lazy to walk outside, the hotel does have it's own nook on the first floor for juices, snacks, etc.

The midtown sights (FAO, Rockefeller, Central Park) are all walking distance (10 mins or so). There are 2 subway lines on the same block as the hotel that will bring you anywhere in NYC. Very very convenient.

I parked on my own one block away and saved $13 from the valet parking they offered. There are also many eating places (upscale, casual, and street) in the immediate area too.

Overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again in the future. It's away from the craziness of Times Square but still a close walk or subway ride.

We had arrived in New York to be placed in a hotel that was a box with little care for it's paying clientele.
The reception arranged the reservation at very short notice with a book in that so smooth it went un noticed.
Perfectly located for the sights, the staff were superb from doormen to cleaners to concierge. Never used the eating area but it was there if needed and the rooms were spacious. Only complaint was no tea but there is a supermarket next door for most snacks and supplies. Great breakfasts across the road.....
Definitely would recommend it as a base with a genuine staff helping you to enjoy their city

Stayed here with my wife and 10 year old daughter. The hotel is well located on 3rd Avenue. The area is quieter than, say, 5th Avenue but it is within easy walking distance of Midtown's attractions and there are many local shops and cafes. The local area feels very safe and family friendly.

Our room was spacious, clean and well equiped. The sound proofing was good and the noise from the street was no problem. The views from the 30th floor were stunning ! There is free wi-fi in the room which was fast and reliable.

All staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and we really had a good stay here.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor.
