The room was big; plenty of space; in fact one of the largest rooms we've stayed in any city which we found surprising. Its a good location;near subway; good for sightseeing. Room was clean. Reception staff were very helpful

This hotel is just your average hotel. We have stayed here a few times as it is close to where we need to be.

The Good: Location to shopping and accessibility to popular NYC areas. The rooms have great blackout shades for sleeping in if desired. There is a little cafe with computers and coffee/snacks on the 12th floor. You get free wifi in the hotel to use for your computers/iPads. Front desk staff have always been accommodating!

The Average: The rooms are modern and have different set ups depending on location and type of bed. Beds are comfy enough and they have nice flat screen TVs. The bathrooms are plain and don't look like they've been updated, but they are clean enough that it still looks nice.

The ugly: the doors into the hotel are heavy and it's not like there is anyone to open them for you (doorman) like other places in NYC. The last time we were there the lobby and elevators had a musty smell to them which was yucky.

This is just your average hotel, but it is more pricey bc it's in NY. It is a good choice for a place that's not fancy but that can hang out in and sleep in comfortably while in NYC.

Our daughter was having same day surgery at Sloan Kettering and the front desk clerk Mark was a huge help. He was attentive to our specific requests for our room including allowing me to to preview the room to make sure it would be accessible after the surgery, arranging for early check-in and really contributing to the most relaxed check-in experience I've had at ANY hotel including 5 star luxury hotels. The room was quite large and very clean. After the surgery, the hotel staff quickly accommodated our need for several extra pillows and other amenities to keep our daughter comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for any and all travelers!
