“Offers More Than Clean Rooms”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012

The hotel has the common features and amenities that I have come to expect with Hilton so I will gloss over the clean rooms, etc.
The unique feature of this hotel that exceeded my expectations was the quality of service from the top down. I received a form email from Joanna Butcher the Guest Experience Manager offering to assist and providing a questionnaire to "personalize" my stay. It was a nice touch so I responded. Joanna wrote a personally composed email and said someone from the concierge team would get back with me. Soon after, Larry, a part of the concierge team, wrote me an email. We wrote back and forth and he helped me with what I needed before I even arrived in NYC.
One last thing, the location is very close to everything we wanted in the Time Square area.

Room Tip: 8th Ave is a busy street. I nearly always request a room not on a busy street just incase it is noi...

We booked this hotel for a few nights prior to our cruise, and we were very happy with the hotel and its staff! Location was great -- easy walk to our Broadway show, Times Square, and Central Park. Good restaurant choices nearby. And a short taxi ride to the cruise ship pier. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. I really can't think of anything critical, and that's a good thing! Rate seemed high, but the rates seem to jump in September. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend!

Room Tip: Get a room on the 8th street side. You can see what's going on, and you have a distant view of t...

Very nice hotel. Around the corner from Times Square, but the transformed 8th ave was very surprising how many new and interesting restaurants and bars are now open. This area used to be dive bars and porno shops. Did notice one or two porno shops, but nothing like it was several years ago. Room was very nice, clean, comfortable and mini fridge. Staff were very professional on check in and through checkout. No reason to have much more than basic interaction, which is a good thing!

Had breakfast package and it was attached restaurant. Breakfast was average buffett and if you wanted to order something fresh there was an additional charge. Breakfast staff did not look very thrilled, but that job probably in the best.

Nice property and look forward to returning.

The staff are very nice and helpful. There were cookies at night and Starbucks coffee in the morning. You can walk to Times Sq. The room was clean-- the cleaning staff were all very friendly. We asked for extra pillows and towels- no problem. My one friend had cash in the safe and forgot to close it. She remembered when we were out for awhile. She called the manager who, took care of it -- no problem. Would stay again. I thought the rates were fine for NYC. The rooms were a little small. If you have more than 2 in the room, it can get a little tight with suitcases and bags. The pillows were very fluffy- and the bed was a queen -- I am used to a king size at home so, took a little time to adjust. It may not be my home but, I felt very comfortable and safe there.

2 adults 2 children in the one room with a street view worked for us for 1 night, we didn't get a chance to explore the hotel as we were short of time but the room was big enough for us and more importantly it was clean. Times Square is 2 minutes away Radio city, Rockefeller centre are about a 5-10 minute walk and we walked to the Empire State Building and it took 30 minutes. We took the subway which is just round the corner to Ground Zero (line E ). Starbucks is just next to the hotel and for some who like eating out of at a diner there's one across the road next to a pub and a corner shop. Summing up it's a good base for exploring the city

Room Tip: ask for a street view

Close to shows. Easy walking distance to midtown sights. Very clean and up to date rooms. Pleasant staff. Attached restaurant serves a nice breakfast buffet. Definitely would stay here again. Free wi-fi.

We just got back from our visit to NYC. The location of this hotel couldn't have been better. The staff was fabulous and very helpful, friendly as well, couldn't have been more willing to go the extra mile. The room was very clean and the best bed and pillows, best nights sleep in a hotel ever. Stayed on the 4th floor and was still very quite, could feel the subway under the hotel, but nothing that would keep you awake. Everything was more than adequate and hope to return soon. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Loved the front facing room.
