“Great Location”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Was in NYC for 7 days. Located across the street from Carnegie Hall and not far from Time Square and Theater district. I am an owner but had to use my RCI points to get in during the time that I needed to be there. The room we got was very small. One queen size bed and a single which was sitting standing up in a corner and had to be set up daily. They said it was for occupancy for three but they were stretching it. Luckily were were in NYC and did not spend a lot of time in the room. Had a car but only used it once after I got there, so I parked it at their "discount" lot. Still very expensive. I will never bring one again but wanted to visit West Point while there, probably could have rented a car and gotten away cheaper. Did not have time to visit their lounge but heard it was pretty good.

We are so glad that your seven day trip to NYC included a stay at The Manhattan Club. It was wonderful to hear that you enjoyed our location in the heart of midtown which provides easy access for guests to all of the City’s most popular attractions. We regret the room size was not as you had anticipated but we truly appreciate your feedback. The next time you are visiting the city, we hope that you will allow us the pleasure of welcoming you back.

I, along with three friends, just got back from a four day stay at The Manhattan Club in New York.
We had a one-bedroom suite which consisted of a master bedroom with bathroom and a living, dining, kitchen area with a pull-out queen size sofa bed and another full bath. The sofa bed was one of the most comfortable sofa beds I have ever slept on. Our unit had been totally renovated and was just beautiful. The staff and housekeeping were all very friendly and accommodating at all times. I could not complete my review without mentioning the bartender (Steven) in the lounge on the 26th floor. He was one of the best! We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to everyone.

We stayed at the Manhattan Club for 7 nights April 19-26 in a one bedroom suite -

The one bedroom suites are the largest accommodation at around 600 square feet with a kitchenette -

We were in a unit that had not yet been updated as they are doing so floor by floor - to that some minor maintenance issues in our unit but all in all acceptable -

The bed in our room was very comfortable -

The location is perfect - a couple blocks to Central Park and a few blocks to Time Square -

The staff were all very helpful and cheerful at all times - great stay in the Big Apple!

On my first visit to NYC we stayed at The Manhattan Club which is right across the street from Carnegie Hall and 4 short blocks to Central Park. Rooms have a sitting room, kitchenette, pull-out sofa, plus a secondary bathroom w/shower, and a master bedroom with it's own bath. Rooms are updated and very comfortable and the location in the city can't be beat. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit and have already booked it again for next spring.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view or you are facing inside and can't see anything

As a travel agent I had high expectations, check in was fast, our room was a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, some are 1 bedroom studio - be sure of which u have. Room was clean and well kept. It looks a little aged but your not in your room much so this is not a big thing. The beds and pillows are amazing and after a day and evening wandering NYC just what you need. The service of door staff and some reception staff is disappointing and I tipped only one - Oscar he greeted us every time he was on. I would recommend this property to my clients. As in other reviews the lifts are slow, up to you if this is a major issue it did not worry us.

We own a timeshare at the Manhattan Club and have been staying there for about 12 years. This is a nice place compared to other NYC luxury hotels. Most rooms are two room suites with two bathrooms, very convenient for couple were one likes to go to bed early and the other late. The hotel is in a great location with easy walking access to the theater district and Central Park. The staff is efficient and courteous. The rooms are nice if a little threadbare.

We stayed here for the second time - the last time we were here was 8 years ago. We chose it again for its location, so close to Central Park, the theatre district and Times Square, and within easy reach of many of New York's many attractions. Unfortunately it would seem that in those eight years The Manhattan Club has not received any updating or redecorating. The wallpaper is tired and shabby in places, with some of it peeling off, and in other places it has been (inexpertly) patched. The furnishings are no longer luxurious, just dated. Handles were missing off the cupboards and the bath plug didn't work.

We had to ask to move rooms as ours had a door connecting it to another apartment, and the noise from our neighbours made it seem as though they were in the same room. They yelled at each other every morning before 7 and their tv blared. We were given another room on the same floor, but found that we now had a view of a blank wall through filthy windows. Punishment for asking to change?

We didn't try the $14.95 continental breakfast, but it didn't sound like a great deal. The staff were ok and efficient enough.

For the money (and the 'service charge' of $30 per night) I reckon you could do better elsewhere.

Room Tip: It's no use asking for a room with a view or on a high floor. Whatever it is you want, they tell...
