Thats a great hotel for those of you who doesn't like to look around the hotel for flaws. I can't really remember a lot of benefits in matters of food or crew, but I do remember they were very kind and the rooms were clean all the time. The beds were great and the shower was ok. The location is the most important mark, since it is a few steps away from the central park and the times square.
Don't give up a nice walk in the central park!

The hotel is under construction and the rooms are dirty and everything mostly broken, the heat system cant be adjusted, never ever go there, the location is the best but still with rooms like cage not worth it

I have just returned from my honeymoon in New York and we stayed at the wellington.

The hotel was what I expected from a New York. The reception are was grand and you got a free safety deposit box behind the counter.

After reading reviews I emailed the hotel and told them it was a honeymoon and we got a room upgrade. We was on the 23rd floor with a balcony and a kitchenette, we were also given complimentary wine and chocolates, so it's well worth emailing if your going there for a special occasion.

The location is great it being just a few blocks from Times Square.

If you do stay here make sure you visit the Irish pub down the street called the stage coach - lovely staff and great welcomes.

Didn't use the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on that.

Room Tip: Email beforehand to get specific rooms (2335 is a great room)

The hotel is within easy access of Central Park as it's only a few minutes walk away. Hotel is quite tired and dated though clean. We had a double aspect room on the corner of the hotel and therefore had good view of New York city life unfolding!
Staff efficient and friendly. We didn't eat in the hotel though did order some drinks which were expensive.

Great location, staff friendly, cheap and nice rooms. Comfortable beds after long days of sightseeing. Diner downstairs attached to the hotel was nice food, a shame about one snotty waitress. Very close to central park and times square.
