Picked the hotel as a last minute, relatively cheap option for a short Manhattan getaway and couldn't have been happier.

Great location, very central for Broadway, Times Sq, Central Park
And the shops on 5th ave.

Rooms were pleasant, not as old fashioned as I may have first thought they might be. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was generally well appointed.

Our room was on the front of the hotel and did suffer from road noise of the general all night New York hustle and bustle but other than that a great hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Although the hotels is in great location, just above the subway 57. Times squere,5th avenue and other attraction are very near.
I stayed at the hotel in a single room and i must admit it was s little scary. A lot oc noise from the street,a small room that is located in the end of a narrow corridor made me feel hncomfortable.
The hotel really needs a face lift. The design is very 70s style yet is clean and well maintained.

This hotel isn't fancy, the rooms are a little dated and the staff need new uniforms but who cares??!! Fantastic location, clean rooms, maid service every day and free wifi if you book direct. Make use of their taxi service back to the airport, easy and much more comfortable than a yellow cab. Would definitely stay again just for the location!

Stayed for a week 25th to 1st November. I emailed the hotel before hand to let them know we would be arriving after midnight and to put in a room request. The request was not granted but saying that, the hotel was extremely busy the whole time we were there. Our room was on 7th Avenue which was really noisy and as it was on a corner it was quite dark & dingy. This is not the fault of the hotel though it is because everything is high rise and blocks out a lot of light. We were 5 mins from central Park and less than 10 Mins to Times Square, and there is a subway station right outside. I did not book breakfast there as within 2 minutes walk there are lots of diners to choose from and a Starbucks across the road which is good as there are no coffee/tea facilities in the room, The Room was small but very clean and functional. We got married during our stay and had our photo's delivered on a cd to the hotel. The reception were very quick to let us know there had been a delivery for us. The only thing that I found frustrating about this hotel was the lifts, for a hotel so big the the three lifts are sometimes just not enough and you could be waiting around 10-15 minutes for a lift, especially if a coach load of people had just checked in (this happened 3 times in the week we were there. I would stay here again.

Just few steps by Times Square, Central Park, Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller center. 57 Avenue metro station is just outside the hotel door, the room was very clean, well equiped and silent. The staff received my mail and packages every day and forwarded it directly to my room, great service and very gentle people.

This was our second stay here. Same good standard of service, however,it's starting to look a little tired now. The bedrooms are comfy but no view from our room, and the bathroom appeared a bit dingy. Nevertheless, we would stay here again as its location is brilliant as are the staff.

Room Tip: Room 1026 has no view only a brick wall which may be the other side of the hotel.
