I stayed here years ago when I was visiting NY. I remembered the great service and stayed here again when my mother planned a "girls trip" for herself, her granddaughters, and me.

The rooms are well priced for Manhattan, and include great service. Our concierge, LIz, got us wonderful restaurant reservations that included yummy dessert extras.

I recommend this to anyone.

Was looking for a suite in NYC for a trip with our kids. Stayed at the Lucerne and loved it. Was greeted at check-in on Friday night with wine & cheese. Suite was very roomy and nicely decorated. The kids loved sitting in the window alcoves watching the snow fall and all the people going by. The neighborhood had everything, shops, restauratants, etc. close by, drug store across the street. I will stay here again when visiting NYC.

This hotel is less than a block from the subway and in a great neighborhood. The staff is friendly and the prices reasonable. The room could use some sprucing up, and the kitchenette was quite small with no dining space. Overall, this is a great spot. I would definitely stay here again.

We always stay at the Lucerne. The location is great. It's a short walk to subways, Central Park, and Museums. It's a short subway ride to Lincoln Center and Mid Town, or Down Town. Cabs are plentiful. The neighborhood is loaded with restaurants of every variety and price of food one could desire.
The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. They are very spacious for a NY hotel.

A wonderful stay, friendly and helpful staff, clean, well cared for and comfortable. Best place in upper west side for the cost.
It's not often you find a place that you feel really at home in. But this is the place, near to the park and two metro stations. Away from the frantic down town, but a short metro or taxi time to get there .
The best of both worlds chic & quiet with lots of restaurants locally.

Highly recommended. I've stayed in hotels all over the world & this one stole the show.
The downside was that I had to leave.. Back soon as this will be my New York place to stay in the future,.

Room Tip: I asked for a high floor as I have stayed in New York before and found it noisy at night, but this a...

We are just back from a five day stay at the Lucerne the title sums it up. A short walk from Central Park and an even shorter walk to the Subway Station which gave us easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. The room was a Superior Double Double the beds were great the Housekeeping Staff kept the room perfectly clean and tidy with a never ending supply of clean towels etc. The Staff in reception were always helpful and pleasant. The Hotel does not have its own restaurant but the attached Nice Martin Restaurant is very good and busy it is mid range in cost (for breakfast Hotel reception will give you a voucher for 10% off) and as other reviewers have said there are plenty of other 'eating houses' in the area.
It is not a modern style hotel BUT it gives you that warm homely feeling the more modern hotels cant.

Room Tip: try for the higher floors if you want a 'view'

We celebrated my sisters birthday with our 2 daughters and had a wonderful weekend at this hotel. It was our first trip to NY and we were very impressed with the hotel as it is very convenient to Central Park and downtown . Room was lovely and clean and staff very helpful. the neighbourhood was safe and lots of places to eat in walking distance. Also easy to get to the subway or get a cab from the street. nice Christmas decorations

Room Tip: Rooms on the upper floor 10th /11th
