Great Staff!..We where welcomed with a smile! Great location and safe to walk around at nigth ..Close to Central Park and the Museum of Natural History. Rooms where extremely clean and elegant ( colonial style ) ..From valet parking to getting a cab when needed, was done in a professional and cordial manner and to top it of!.." with a smile". The restaurant (Nice Matin), decor, was OK.. food was good! ( I'm French ;-) ) I recommend this hotel without hesitation .

I stay at the Lucerne whenever I go to New York, whether with family or on business. It never disappoints. The rooms are well decorated and they are very clean - a priority. They are also quiet and I never hear any loud guests in the halls at night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the Upper West side and the proximity to the park. In addition, the rooms are priced right. Kudos to management. Keep up the good work.

Clean, well kept, centrally located. Friendly staff, great little restaurant (Nice Matin) next to lobby. All our needs were met with a smile. Close to Museum of Natural History and Zabar's. Would definitely return for another visit.

Staff is great. Rooms are clean and elegant. Location is in safe area and central to Central Park and Lincoln Center. Quick cab ride or 40 minute walk to Times Square. Restaurant next door is OK, but service is slow- food is delicious though. Doormen here are very helpful and friendly. They make you love the city and feel right at home as a visitor. I forgot my dress and they (housekeeping) mailed it back to me without any problem. This was my third stay in two years and all have been great. They also have the best shower water pressure of any hotel I've stayed in. Bed was very comfortable as well. I recommend without hesitation.

I stayed at the Lucerne for four nights during a long weekend with my wife and daughter. The room was clean, roomy and the AC worked extremely well. In fact we had to turn it down because the room was too cold. The refrigerator was very handy.

The hotel is in a great location. It is a short walk to the #1 Subway line, Central Park, and the AMNH. There are a large number of restaurants in the area serving a variety of food. There were a couple of bagel places for breakfast and even a cookie store across the street if you get hungry in the middle of the night.

We would recommend this hotel if you are staying on the upper west side.

I had to find a hotel in that area in order to be at a function nearby - it looked so great on the net and
wasn't cheap. The room "not available til 4.00 p.m" and when I finally made it, it was small - no fridge, no coffee machine, no kettle. I thought the hotel would have one computer for the use of the
guests but no, they have a very cold, (not temperature) Business room where the rates are
horrific (I went out to friends who have a computer in their home). Girls at the desk not particularly
friendly (Oi am I going to be in trouble when I say that usually men are more friendly - at hotels,
airline desks, whatever). The lobby is freezing and it's impossible to sit there - that's it- enough said.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Original request for quiet room resulted in claustrophobic view of brick wall, but able to trade for room with some street noise. Bottled water appeared to be complimentary but charged $7 per bottle. Comparatively good value in NYC.
