This hotel has gone down hill dramtically in the last few years. It used to be a lovely small hotel on New York's Upper West side. Now I could never recommend it to anyone. On my visit here last April, the management refused to honor an internet reservation despite a confirmation number telling me they were sold out. I was forced to find an alternate hotel iate in the evening.
On this visit, we made the reservation directly with the hotel despite paying much more for the room. When we arrived, we were told out room would be be ready at 4:00 pm and then we waited hours for the room to be available. Had the management told us the truth, we could have gone shopping or sightseeing rather than be stuck in the lobby being told that "any minute " the room would be ready.
Once we we finally did check in, the room and bathroom were filthy and one of the bed was not made. The musty carpet smelled of mildew. When I complained that the room was diirty, we were told that everything else was sold out so there was little that could be done.
