“Just For Drinks.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

In terms of drink selection/service, this place was definitely above average but food was nothing to get excited about. All I really wanted was a nice juicy burger and a beer, and although I was happy to try the seasonal Belgian, my burger was not the juicy perfection I had imagined beforehand. Had a simple bacon cheeseburger and unfortunately the flavor did not deliver.

In regards to the drinks though, fair price and there is a good selection. Skip the food and go for the drinks. You sit very close to your neighbor, so maybe you'll make a new friend.

Waitress was also very sweet.

“Convenient, Cozy & Reasonable!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2012

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Times Square North and this bar/restaurant is located right next door. If you want some drinks and bar type food ie. burgers fries salads wings etc-within a quick walk, go here you will not be disappointed. We had a party of 9 and everyone loved their food and drinks. We would go here again!

“Bar minus bar food or good drinks”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2012 via mobile

The food was mediocre at best - tasteless. The house special Pastrami sandwich was terrible, it was grissly, fatty and microwaved and without taste. The meal lacked any taste. The cocktail & wine list was minimal & not accurate. There are a lot of good choices in NYC....this is not one of them for now.

“As near to a pub as you will get in NY”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2012

Proper NY bar, friendly bar staff (Hi Ronan), stunning range of 'craft beer' (it's not British real ale but it's as close as you will get in USA) and there's something for everyone. Sport on TV everywhere and we watched Chelsea V Liverpool with a friendly local audience who were more into football (sorry soccer) than I ever realised. Sit at the bar for the best crack. Good bar snacks and the nachos and cheese were as good as I have had anywhere, they do different deals every day as well.

“Great Beer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2012

The House of Brews has a great selection of beer - about 20 on tap + 80 in bottles.
It is conveniently located on Restaurant Row - so pre- or post- theater is easy.
The service is friendly - and they also have a good pub food menu.
