I love Whole Foods, but often the stores in the city are tough to navigate. It's always too crowded and finding your way to the check out can be a little confusing. But if you're looking for a handy place to buy a lunch to enjoy in the park it can't be beat.

The variety of produce is amazing. All items in the prepared food section were displayed in a very attractive way. Great for take out to nearby hotels. Late evening snack.

I prefer any Whole Foods in Los Angeles but the one & Columbus comes close, especially in the lunch dept. with choices of ready dishes. I shop there once a week (prefer Fairway for organics) just because I love to have a lunch in Central Park or if it's nasty, to eat it in a cool luncheon right there. Healthier, cheaper, and you can actually meet interesting people.

Staying in The Hudson almost across the street and stopped in to pick up some provisions. This is an excellent store. Bit busy but worth fighting your way through. Brilliant buffet/salad bar. Great Sushi. Everything you need crammed in to the available space. A bit on the pricy side.

I like Whole Foods, and I needed to pick up a few things we didn't pack for our trip. So, when I saw it in Columbus Circle, I seized the opportunity. It's a Whole Foods. If you've been to a Whole Foods before, that's all this is. What's different is the enormity of it...like the 50+ checkout lanes.
