“The Ultimate New York Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2013

I was fortunate enough to stay 3 nights at the Waldorf Towers. A truly world class hotel with first class service, rooms, location and 'feel'. The Waldorf Towers have effectively managed to provide the modern day hotel experience whilst retaining the old world charm and glamour of yesteryear. A must do!

We thoroughly enjoy staying, in particular at the Waldorf Towers, where we stayed several times over the years. The hotel, with its classic style and antique furniture is just perfect. We noted some of the upholstered furniture might need replacement, but overall it is an excellent place to stay, when celebrating something special.

My friends and I went on a moms only trip to NYC. Our stay in the Towers was excellent! We felt like royalty! The view from my room was amazing!!! We loved having our private elevators, check-in desk, and entrance to the hotel. This hotel is in a convenient location. The room was very luxurious. The bed was heavenly! We were so sad to leave this hotel! It would be hard to go back and not stay there!

I recently stayed at the Waldorf Towers for a 5 night stay. I was originally booked into a 'concierge level' room, although I am not sure what that was. It was however not available when I checked in so I was upgraded to a two double bed room in the Towers. I was also give an a couple of complimentary drinks vouchers for the cocktail lounge.

The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful - I asked her how to dial a particular phone number and she dialled it for me on the hotels phone.

The room was then ready and she helped us with our bags to the room which was on the 39th floor. It wasn't the greatest of views but we could see the street and the tops of some other buildings.

The room was beautiful, classic décor and sumptuous bathroom. Mini bar was stocked with everything (albeit a tad expensive) but the room was very well appointed. Bath robes, umbrellas, safe, every type of toiletries, 6 hand towels, 4 bath towels even a Bose wave machine as a clock radio !

The beds were so comfortable sleeping was never going to be a problem.
Fresh linen and towels everyday but we never saw the cleaners. A couple of times there were messages left on our phone making sure that we had every thing we wanted.

The Peacock alley bar was quite nice although one evening there was quite a surly waiter - must have had a bad day ! Bar snacks were good.

Also ate in the Bull and Bear one night -fabulous steaks although starters and deserts are massive so I would suggest you share one !

Overall, a magnificent stay and felt like royalty.

Good location/Good Rooms/Good service but bad service for non-native people.

Background - took my parents from India to NY . Stayed for 3 nights based upon other reviews in this site.

Since we didn't have formal attire and hotel suggested non casual attire (i.e. dont wear jeans etc) in public places after 6pm, we stayed off the public areas as much as possible since there were lot of high profile events.

Except for 1 person (bald white guy) at the door who was very helpful when our car in valet parking took more than 45 mins to come, nobody provided ANY kind of service.

Pretty much most of the service professional looked down on us as we exited or entered the hotel. It was disappointing to see other customers at hotel get good service while we were just ignored completely.

Lesson learnt !

Good Afternoon Anon1978Chennai,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are extremely sorry to hear that you did not feel you received exceptional service from our staff. While we do provide dress recommendations, it is more so for your benefit when packing. Our staff would never intentionally treat one family differently than another based on attire. That being said, we take full responsibility for you having felt that way. This is absolutely a training opportunity for our team, so that we may work to show each and every guest that they are royalty when they are with us. Should you have a moment, please email me with your confirmation number from your stay, as well as your Tripadvisor username so that we may look into these issues further.

Thank you,
Megan Hennessey

Well situated in Midtown, Close to everything a tourist or a working professional wants, yet quieter than staying at time square. The staff is great, the facilities are wonderful. The Drinks are alright, The signature Manhattan drink is stiff yet good. The bar is as crowded as any other in the vicinity.

The Waldorf Towers are very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was extremely accommodating and timely with everything from check in to bringing our bags up to in room dining. The rooms were always made up nicely and everything seemed very clean and refreshing.
