“Simply one of the best hotel stays of our lives.”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Although not cheap, this hotel proves that sometimes you do indeed get what you pay for.

Can't say enough good things about this place....from the clean/spotless suites (recently renovated in 2011 but looks like just renovated yesterday!!), the extremely caring and attentive staff, the excellent food (I have never seen such perfect fruit as was served each morning with the pancakes!!), the amazing views and the perfect location.

There are many hotels in nyc and we did alot of research in picking ours. Thank goodness we picked the Trump International - it really helped to make our vacation fabulous and memorable. Will not stay anywhere else in nyc from now on.

If you are looking for the place to stay, and can afford the price, stay here - you won't regret it !!

(We didn't get a chance to try the Spa, but are looking forward to doing so on our next trip to nyc)

Room Tip: Try for a corner suite facing Columbus circle and Central park. Simply stunning day and night views...

Untrained, uninformed and with no connections to NYC night life or restaurants. Concierge services should be considered non existant. Whenever I asked how long to walk someplace, the people in the lobby (if I must call it that) under estimated by as much as 30 minutes under or over. Restaurant staff not accommodating at all. Spa personnel at least seemed to attempt service and accommodations . Having read the other reviews, I am now certain that these reviewing sites can be tampered with. This is Marriot Quality, 0 service and huge prices.

Room Tip: do not stay here, there are way too many places in NYC. Lots of other places in the area.

Having read a number of very positive reviews of this property on Trip Advisor, we selected this hotel for a weekend in NYC during which we needed to be near Lincoln Center. We were shockingly disappointed in the look, feel, and particularly the service and food at this hotel. From the moment we entered it did not feel like a luxury hotel, but rather a NYC apartment building. The lobby is minuscule and uninviting -- just a way to get to the elevators. The front desk staff was not welcoming at all and did not seem to recognize that they are in the service industry. The room itself, a corner suite, was considerably tighter than it appeared in the website photos. The bathroom was most comparable to that in a very clean motel (white shower curtain, tiny counter). We had two meals at Nougatine, lunch and Father's Day brunch. The service was horrendous both days and after having lunch the first day, I would have loved to cancel our Father's Day reservation, but I had had to sign a reservation form with a $25/person cancellation fee two weeks earlier to secure an 8 person table. With that reservation we were told that we would have an outdoor table for brunch. However they didn't even start serving outside until 45 minutes after our reservation time. We instead were seated inside and asked to wait until they were ready to serve outside. They then seated another table outside 10 minutes before us and said that they were still setting up our table (despite that they had had 45 minutes to do so!) Both days our waiters would disappear for long stretches of time and drinks and condiments that were requested never came. The cod was in a sauce that was overpowering, unpleasant, and spicy though it was billed as a miso sauce -- five of us barely ate and the water and milk that we ordered to cool our palates never came (nor did the orange juice or sugar ordered the day before). Lunch for five people (including three children) took nearly two hours because there was a 20 minute wait for someone to take our order (we asked three times), and 20 minutes between the appetizer and entree and again before dessert. What would we recommend in NYC: Our favorite hotel in NYC is the Four Seasons and we also like the Standard (downtown) very much. The Plaza and the St. Regis are both lovely as well. Despite the high price of the Trump International, the Westin and the W in Times Square are both better hotels by far.

I just spent an umbelievable weekend at the Trump International Hotel! Everything was perfect. The suite was immaculate, the service was very professionnal and friendly in the same time. I have been to many beautiful hotels in my life and this one was just amazing. I did have the feeling to be at my home in the front of Central Park. What a view!

Room Tip: Do not hesitate to spend the money, every dollar is worth it.

I was in NY for both business and leisure and stayed one night, Tuesday, during my visit. Overall, I was very impressed with the service and the comfort level was excellent.

Reception: excellent check-in with warm, courteous service. The bellman who assisted with luggage was sincere, personable.

Room: 17th floor, Rm 1722. I was not lucky to have Central Park views but had 8th Ave below. Still very nice. The room was an Executive Suite category and had all of the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Full kitchenette in case you are staying for a long time was brand new, full fridge and stove. Nice seating area with great TV. All of the furnishings were in really good condition. Turndown service was excellent. Bathroom lighting was perfect.

Free wifi was very good.

Did not try and F&B nor the Spa.

Room was large, clean, and beautiful. They added little extra touches that made our stay delightful. My kids got t- shirts and little business cards with their names on them. They got such a kick out of it.

Sure its expensive... but the luxury of this hotel is worth it! Upon check-in, we received an upgrade to a Park Suite - the views were lovely and you cannot beat the comfort and imaculate cleanliness of the room. We ordered room service both for dinner and breakfast and both were wonderful!

Room Tip: Park view room is a must!
