Wow - the Jr. Suite was very special. It is a very spacious room, especially as NYC goes. The 1 & 1.5 bathrooms made getting dressed a little easier. We also enjoyed the in-room small refrigerator, as you can stock-up on snacks and wine from nearby Whole Foods or a wine store accross Columbus Circle. That made for a great pick-nick in the park. Loved the hotel, but the restaurant is really a business or family place. We were there on our 1st anniversary for a fine dinner, and were dissapointed in that. Otherwise, the service is very professional and attentive throughout.

Just checked into the hotel and am extremely disappointed with the view and size of the room. We are in a Junior Suite on the 14th floor and our view is another building. There is a sliver of the park that can be seen at the far right. I booked through American Express which is my normal practice, a benefit of Amex is, if an upgrade is available they will offer it to you. I have been upgraded many times at a five diamond hotel without asking, when I did inquire I was given a matter of fact answer, your room has already been prepared for you. So far definitely not five star.

Room Tip: Friends of mine stayed in a deluxe room, I choose the Junior Suite, save the money, the deluxe room is a better layout.

I agree with the previous review about missing the lobby experience but the staff rushed us right in before we knew what was happening and we were up in our room. We had a great room on the fifth floor overlooking the park, and in our case the Thanksgiving Day parade! Floor to ceiling windows really made a difference and our guests (you were allowed up to ten) truly enjoyed the experience. We had a Keurig in the room and complimentary waters. We also had the use of a kitchen in an adjacent room. Nightly turn downs with chocolates, slippers, and robes reminded you that it was a five star experience. Room service was fantastic and the food unforgettable! You will be spending top dollar to get a parade view room anyway-- why not book the best? (this was our fourth parade view room)

i've been a great of Trump since i was little.i mean their brand is everywhere and now aside from their New York hotels they've "colonized" Chicago and Las Vegas. Congrats Donald! You really put the L in luxurious :p

Though we live in the New York City area, we recently decided to spend a few nights in the Trump International for a brief getaway. Though we've stayed in other top-rated hotels, the Trump is one of the few that truly deserves five stars. The rooms are well appointed, the service understated but spot-on and the views of Central Park are spectacular. The Columbus Circle location gives you easy access to almost every part of Manhattan via mass transit. We plan on returning at least once a year . . .

Room Tip: Try for a high floor with a Central Park view
