Can't be beat for the money. We stayed here one night before a cruise from the Manhattan cruise terminal. Only about ten minutes from the terminal. Nice room, front desk was pleasant, clean rooms, and free parking. Would stay here again if in the city.

Thank you for your review. We are the closest hotel to the cruise terminal which makes us the perfect choice for pre and post cruise clients who are staying in the city

We went to NYC to see a show. The Travel Inn staff needs to go to school to learn how to treat people. They charged my credit card $20.50 more than the bill that i signed when we checked out. The power went out early in the morning,we couldn't take showers or see. No one came upstairs to our room,or any room for that matter, to let us know what was going on or how long it would last. The staff were rude, not helpful in Any way, We washed our faces and brushed our teeth in the dark! When i called to ask why they overcharged me i was told by a very rude man not to worry or bother about it! Then he hung up on me! I called back the next day got someone else...same old thing. So i sent an email. Then called again the next day, spoke with a women, told me they charge for amenities,we had no power what amenities!! A handtowel! I was not happy and will NEVER let anyone i know stay there!!! NO customer service,NO help at all
They couldn't even be bothered to get a cab for us after all that! You would think that they would have given some sort of discount, nope "it wasn't our fault the power was out" . Thats what she told me....NEVER AGAIN.

Room Tip: stay in another hotel!

A few blocks from Times Square and the coach station on the corner of 8th. Ave.Use the $13 transfer from La Gardia but book on line as you can't pay at the airport.Hotel slighly dated but clean and comfortable. Ok, the bathrooms aren't huge but you can always go on a diet and we had a fridge and a microwave, handy for in-room snacks.Room serviced satisfactorily every day and front desk staff efficient if not over friendly.
Diner on the corner of 9th. good value and friendly staff.Avoid McMennamin's around the corner on 10th. as they will add 18pc service charge for very little effort. I prefer to set my own level for gratuities.

Room Tip: Ask for fridge and microwave in your room

This one fits under the "looking for a cheap place to park and sleep" catagory. The location is great, walking distance to subway station, Times Square and just about everything else. Free parking garage is a huge plus if you are driving, not to mention its only a block or two out of the Lincoln Tunnel. Rooms are nothing to write home about and the lobby is virtually non existent. But for $130 a night, it's a great deal. Will stay here again.

I stayed in this hotel when I visited NYC in March last year on a performing arts trip with college. The rooms were basic but comfortable and clean and although we were sharing beds, they were plenty big enough. The television worked well and the fridge was handy for keeping water bottles cool overnight. It was a bit noisy one evening but that was only due students from another college and when we asked them to stop, they did. We believe that this disturbance only occurred due to them knowing that we too were students. The location is perfect, only a short walk from the magnificent times square, the subway and may of the Broadway theatres. There is no breakfast service at the hotel but the diner next door offers a wide range of food and being in the centre of the city you are never short of places to eat.

Although this hotel is basic, there is so much to do that all you want when you get back to the hotel at night is to flop into a clean bed. I couldn't have asked for a better place to meet my personal needs. The lift was faulty the day that we arrived, but there was no more trouble with it for the rest of the week.

DO NOT MISS A TRIP TO ELEN STARDUST DINER!!! It was such a wonderful place for my friends and I to enjoy dinner after a matinee show.

If you want to buy theatre tickets, wait until you get there and then buy them on the day of the performance from TKTS under the red stairs in Times Square at a fraction of the price.
