Not clean. Switch on the TV and you have options for movies and adult movies, all for paid cost. No news channels or weather channel on TV. Took me by surprise when I saw a small sealed packet with contents like 2 condoms, 2 cleansing napkins and a lubricant. I wondered if I was at Motel 6. No complimentary breakfast, highly expensive drinks and untidy bed. If you are single and want to save money go for it else please stay away.

Room Tip: If you are single and want to save money go for it else please stay away.

This place is very interesting. I believe these were apartments at one time. Very tiny hallways, and crammed rooms, but we requested the 2 bedroom and it made it so much easier to deal with the tight space. My sister had an upgraded room with a living room and king bed. The staff is pleasant, the bartender was very helpful, and the location is great. Coffee shops nearby, restaurants all over, and it's not on an overly busy street, so the noise level outside wasn't all that bad. It's small and quaint, not overly fancy.

Room Tip: UPGRADE if you can! 2 bedroom or king with the living space.

Stayed for 5 days, early December. The hotel is great. Staff are friendly, courteous and very willing to help guests. It's well priced for NYC and the area is great being just a couple of blocks from the park and 5th Avenue.

I'd recommend a room on the front side of the hotel. We were originally given one overlooking the interior patio. At least to us, it seemed to be quite noisy due to the air conditioning system outlets being located in the same interior patio, hence every so often you'd hear them kick-in and there would be a constant whirring sound audible in the room. Anyway top marks to the hotel as when we mentioned it to the staff we were moved to a front side room overlooking the street, which was very quiet. Another good thing about the change in rooms was the massage chair! Just awesome after a long day's NYC shopping. Also for eats, I'd highly recommend the French bistro "La bonne soupe" over the road. Really, the bistro gets a 10. Cassidy's is also good for drinks and "pub grub" just 50m down the block from the Shoreham.

Finally, don't forget the free coffee machine in the lobby area. It was actually really good. Another plus for the hotel :)

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at the hotel. We arrived to an extremely welcoming and attentive staff. The hotel ambiance and decor was of a nice sleek modern style. We stayed on the Penthouse floor and our room was very big in NY standards. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was even a massage chair in the room! The bathroom had great Aveda products. Location, location, location. You are steps away from 5th avenue, Tiffinay's, Bendels, Bergdorf. Just a few short blocks to Central Park and in the other direction Rockefeller Center. We were going to an event on 79th and 5th and had no problem getting a taxi on Sat night. The next morning we had a quick a yummy room service breakfast and when we went to check out the staff again was very accommodating and gracious. We will most certainly stay at the Shoreham again!

Staff was very friendly and the room though small was clean. The lightning in the rooms is awful but we did not get the room to read in. For the price it is about what you would expect in NY. Location is its biggest plus and the friendly front desk morning shift.

Room Tip: Adequate for the price.

Very comfortable, and extremely well located. Staff was very helpful. Would recommend heartily. Big shoutout to Sunny in the bar, and the front desk staff, who helped us take care of business matters without a hitch. Rooms were nice with a clean, modern design. I might not use the massage lounger in the future. It was a bit aggressive for me.

Arrived late Dec 12 th and checked in to our 4 star Priceline west Midtown hotel.A surprise to say the least.Minimal signage from the street and ended up coming in the side door I guess.Felt like I was checking into the YMCA or something.Postage stamp lobby.Customers complaining about deficiencies in their stay as we checked in.Staff trying to be helpful at the front desk.Went up to room in tiny elevator and entered tiny room with frayed old carpet and scuff marks on the walls.Felt it best to check mattress for bedbugs.Huge stain and fraying of the mattress with a pubic hair thrown in.No curtain on the bathroom window ironing board iron missing.Too depressing had to check out and move to a real 4 star.Tried to get reimbursed for days not used.No response from hotel.Priceline leaves it up to hotel.
