Our room on the 7th floor didn't offer the spectacular views that many other hotels in this area of central Manhattan give, but it was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The location is ideal - between Bryant Park, Grand Central and Times Square - perfect for shopping, transport links (with a Subway station only a 2 minute walk away), and 5th Avenue very close by. The lobby is very dark, but atmospheric and stylish. All hotel staff we met were very friendly and offered great tips on places to visit. Would highly recommend for adult couples and small groups, as well as lone travellers.

Trip got extended booked through airbnb amazing quality amazing price. Couldn't ask for anything better. The front desk guy was amazing and helped me essily check in. Super excited by the chic decor in the room.

Stayed for our annual trip to NYC. This was our first time to the Royalton. Due to flight delays we arrived a little after midnight. We were welcomed by Abis at the door who escorted us to the front desk. We were then greeted by Romaine, who was sitting on a stool behind the front desk. We had a confirmation for an alcove suite, but when we arrived to our room, we were placed in merely a large room that had a sofa and a king sized bed. No separate living room. We called down to the front desk and were rudely hung up on by the same girl, who said the manager would be here in the morning. Not a great start.

The next morning, my wife came down to complain about this mix up and BK was very rude and unaccommodating. He did not offer any compensation and said he could not even move us to a higher floor.

Later that Evening, we spoke with Rocco, who was very knowledgeable of the area and recommended a great restaurant called Pizzarte. We had a great dinner after he went above and beyond and arranged for a bottle of wine to greet us upon arrival. We later returned and thanked him graciously.

All in all, we will not be returning.

We stayed here for our 50th wedding anniversary. The entire staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Our room was upgraded and was most comfortable and enjoyable. The bar in the hotel was great as was the dining room. Overall, staying here was wonderful! The hotel is centrally located in midtown Manhattan, easily accessible from Grand Central and near several subways.

stay was great till morning of the checkout when the cleaner walked straight into my room without even knocking and got to see me in my underwear. this has never happened to me ever. ruined the stay in my view.
