Overall we were disappointed - we were travelling as a family but they couldn't even accommodate us on the same floor let alone adjoining rooms. The continental breakfast was awful - a tiny room on the basement with two thermos flasks - we only went once. The room staff were friendly and efficient but the desk staff were surly and unhelpful and intolerant of children. Supposedly we had access to a pool across the road but this did not eventuate as it is only for a very limited time on a Sunday and not for children.

We stayed here for our Anniversary for 5 nights, 25th May to 30th May and chose this hotel from existing reviews and rating on Trip Advisor, also for 20% discount received for a studio room on easytobook.com. I emailed the hotel to confirm our booking prior to arrival and dealt with Patrick and he noted it was our Anniversary. When we arrived we got an upgrade to a Junior Suite which was a lovely surprise and a nice touch from the hotel.

The room was huge, it had a bar and a lounge area with a sofa and chairs. it was spacious, classy and clean and was every bit the luxury boutique hotel I had booked. The whole hotel oozed class with its marble finish and chandeliers everywhere, even in the lifts! It was spotless. Room service was spot on with a turn down service every night and a card left with the next days weather forecast and a couple of chocolates. On the day of our anniversary we got an anniversary card and box of chocolates off the hotel! Another lovely touch.

Location was simply perfect for us, just a few blocks up from Times Sq so away from the complete madness so quiter at night but close enough and then just a few blocks down from Central Park and close to Broadway which was handy for the Jersey Boys we went to. For me, you couldn't pick a bet location.

We had the free breakfast of pastries and coffeetea which was absolutely adequate for us and very well presented. ou can buy a breakfast but we found that the inclusive pastries was just right for us with croissants, chocolate croissants, scones etc. Plus if you wanted more then it's good to get out to an authentic New York diner for breakfast.

Wifi seems to be an issue with some people and yes it could be free but if you know you have to pay for it then your expectations are set so don't complain about it. Plus, if you speak to your mobile provider and find out the price of using 3G/Internet in New York then the price is cheap in comparison and at the end of the day, the hotel is a business and has to make money.

The hotel is a luxury boutique hotel so it is not a skyscraper with hundreds and hundreds of rooms so you're not going to get the best views and ours from our room wasn't great amd I knew that before we arrived but then we didn't have time to sit in the room looking out of the window when you're in New York!!

Overall this is the best Hotel we have ever stayed in, fantastic big room, huge bath, bar, seating area etc, perfect location, excellent service from all staff from room cleaners to reception, bell boys and conscience, clean tidy spotless just everything we could ask for

Thank you Michelangelo for making our Anniversary in New York perfect

We have stayed at many hotels in Manhattan. This is our new hotel of choice. Small, clean, and a perfect location near Times Square and the theaters. Staff was friendly and our room was roomy and lovely.

We travel a lot and stay in hotels at least 2 times a month. We chose this hotel because of the generous square footage, which is ridiculously small in NYC.

The Michelangelo Hotel gets high praise from us. They have excellent attention to detail and every hotel service, that we used, was super fast. The room was spacious and had a wonderful walk in closet, vanity table (separate from the sink) and spa tub. Large hotel rooms and NYC, don't really go together in a sentence, but they do at the Michelangelo!!!!

We stayed in the Michelangelo right after leaving a luxury resort in Bermuda. Trust me, the M is high quality.

We stayed in NYC last year and we are exceedingly pleased that we paid the extra money, for this visit, to stay at the Michelangelo. We will be back!

The room was definitely lovely. The location was great. The view was a brick wall. We had the room next to the emergency exit stairs - that sound when someone goes through... and someone did... at 6 AM. The receptionists were friendly and efficient, but (this is weird that I noticed) but their uniforms were dirty and old. Weird right? The curtains did not quite close and there was a lot of light under the door, so we had to get creative with towels and how to close the curtains - I like it to be dark.

The most annoying part of our experience was the lack of cell service in the room. We depend on our phones not only to make a basic phone call (I couldn't even call my friend to tell her we were going to be slightly late meeting her for dinner) but to look up addresses and to make reservations and basically plan our day. We looked into signing up for the WiFi to find it was an additional $14. We were already paying a premium price for a room, now we had to pay $14 just to use our smartphones. Felt a bit scammed by that. Thankfully I was not there for business!!

I would only stay there again if I had a guarantee that I could get cell service in my room and was not stuck in the corner next to the emergency stairs. The rest of the hotel really is worth the money. The lobby felt upscale. The location was perfect. The staff friendly. Beds clean and comfortable the room was nicely decorated and a nice size... for NYC standards. ;)

Great location, spacious room, and well appointed ambience. The staff my wife encountered was somewhat rude and snobbish at the on set, but upon check out, my fellow staffer serving me as very nice and warm.
Love the fact, we were close to all the action, but our room was superbly quiet. The hotel did a great job with the sound deadening windows and materials they used to buffer the noise and frenetic pace of Time Square nearby.

I love the Michelangelo Hotel. It is my hotel of choice for business or leisure when in NYC. On my last trip, there was no turn down service. I like fresh towels and ice in the room for the evening.

Other than that, the hotel is wonderful. Great staff, great rooms, great bathrooms and wonderful common areas. Great hotel.
