Stayed at this Hotel before and had no complaints. But this time the room was basic, shabby and very small. There were dirty splashes on the wall paper. The room was cleaned everyday with clean towels. The free breakfast was basic but got you going for the day. You did have to wait for a seat most mornings. You did have acess to a computer free wifi and free tea, coffee and biscuits during the day. There was also a happy hr in the bar from 6-8pm. The location was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Excelent location, staff very helpful... Two times this year at Stanford Hotel. Good and clean room. They receive packs from amazon and bring it to our room. Near Penn Station and Subway. 10 blocks from time square. Very Good place to stay and have Good time in New York. Good price and benefit relation. They have basic breakfast, good and included on stay.

Got a great deal on the King Deluxe room on agoda.com. Room was spacious and like a suite (room 1005 overlooking West 32nd St). Only disappointing thing was the rollaway bed for additional person was like a camp bed that sagged in the middle and impossible to sleep on. Not worth the $22 extra. They need to improve these beds drastically. Great room that had furniture that was a little outdated but they are currently upgrading and renovating. Included breakfast at the ground floor cafe was very basic, but nice. Free wi-fi access in the room was a bonus to plan your next day - so many other hotels you must pay for it. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Front desk staff were excellent and concierge was always happy and cheerful. Were more than happy to accomodate a late check out before heading to airport and easily stored our bags as well. Overall a good basic but great location hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floors that overlook West 32nd street. Very quiet and great view down to...

What a fabulous hotel in the midtown area Manhattan. Decent sized rooms with breakfast included. Room was clean and spacious. The house keeping staff were excellent as were the front desk and concierge. Free tea and coffee between 2pm and 4pm everyday. Also free wifi throughout the hotel. The location is handy for the subway which is literally 1 minute from the front door. If subway isn't for you then the whole of midtown is in walking distance. This is a real value for money hotel and I will definitely be returning.

My friend and I just got back from staying here, booked many months ago, paid $1,285 incl. tax for 5 nights. Hotel is not luxurious in any way, basic and clean, rooms were a bit worn, but very comfortable and pretty roomy for NY standards. We stayed in room 302, which looked out onto a brick wall, which was fine becasue it was extremely quiet, hotel in general was quiet, not a lot of noise going on in the hall. Breakfast was basic, coffee, tea, orange juice and bakery items, you're not permitted to bring food back to the room, but can bring back coffee. Our room had a fridge which allowed us to buy food to hold us over between meals. Location is great, right in the middle of Korea Town, and across from Macy's, great pit stop between activities so we could rest our feet and re-group. Service was very responsive, extra pillows in minutes, had a problem with the room key on a daily basis, but they came in minutes to help us, toilet stopped up, but that was also taken care of very quickly. All in all a great find, would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 302, faces a brick wall, very quiet.

Staff were really helpful and friendly, hotel itself was lovely (clean and comfortable). Within 5mins walk of Macy's and 10mins to Times Square.
Only issue was with noisy air con, but it's to be expected with an older building.
Would highly recommend to anyone going to NYC, great value.

And did I mention economical? This place is a bargain. There are people reviewing who give it a less than perfect score. Didn’t see that at all. OK, the continental breakfast is not haute cuisine. But honestly, they gave me caffeine and a bagel. Started the day.

Just look at the address: W32nd between 5th and 6th in midtown. Literally 30 feet from a subway station, so you can get anywhere. Koreatown area w/24-hour restaurants, so the street always feels busy and (to me) safe even at night. Our queen-sized room was super clean, quiet, and comfortable. Flat screen TV in the room, adjustable thermostat, shampoo and soap provided were from Bath & Body Works. Cool!

Bonuses? Super nice staff. Very gracious, welcoming and accommodating. Bell staff kept our bags prior to check in, and after check out the next day, so we were free to roam around the city without lugging all of our stuff. We returned to the hotel – after checkout – and were still able to make use of the business center and 2nd floor lounge, which is as really nice touch. Coffee, tea, water, cookies and a comfy place to sit from 8-4 each day. Then you walk 1-1/2 blocks to Penn and get on the train. Really, it’s perfect. I will absolutely be back.
