“For Soho lovers!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2013

Location:
Perfect location, quiet part of Soho. Short distance to "everything", subway, restaurants, cool shops etc.

Rooms:
Relatively small rooms, typical NYC size. Stayed in a deluxe double for 4 nights. City/street view.
Lovely bed, very comfortable, beautiful linens and pillows. Bathroom is very small...and we were two girls sharing, you can not be in there at the same time, and be aware when opening the door, if the other person is in the hall. The same goes for luggage, little space for two grown ups and for added shopping items, this room is filled up quickly. If you have the opportunity, get yourself a bigger sized room!

Service:
Impeccable!! Friendly, professional, nice and polite. Great concierge! No troubles, this hotel makes you feel welcome. Fantastic atmosphere at the bar with amazing drinks.
Leave some tip for the housekeepers during stay...they may be a little nicer with the amenities.

Conclusion:
Would stay again. As my stay was with a friend, our room was good enough, but if you stay as a couple, def take a bigger room!! The dream is to stay some nights in one of the penthouse apartments..For those who loves Soho, this is the hotel for you.

I stayed in this hotel in December 2012 for a night. There were chocolates, nuts, cookies and bottled water in the room, with no price tags on any of them. I thought they were complimentary since they don't have any price tags. I opened the water bottle and thought, even if it were not complimentary, it would cost $2 to $3. But, to my surprise, I saw a charge of $10.89 on my credit card bill. I would not stay here again and even if I have to stay, I would not touch anything in the room.

All very designer. Feel like you're on a magazine shoot. Staff ultra beautiful and reasonably helpful and friendly. We had a corner room with views over a junction of Canal street. Sometimes noisy even though we were on the 9th floor. Small room but designed impeccably. We even had a goldfish to keep us company. Not your common orange type, but a very stylish black one. Very comfortable bed and cute bathroom.
Lounge comfy and again very cool in decor and clientele. Nice cocktails. Didn't eat there and to be honest there was no encouragement to do so.
Good location in-between Soho and Tribeca. Near enough to China Town and the Financial district to walk easily. Loads of nice restaurants and shopping nearby.
Downside - So cool you could be left a bit cold.

The lounge at the hotel is awesome. Like one big living room. Great manhattan hip crowd. Rooms are small but good enough for NY. Right in the heart of soho. Surrounded by really good shops and 10 min walk from TriBeCa.

We've been travelling frequently in Europe and the US for eighteen months and just had to say this is the worst hotel experience we've had. Badly in need of refurbishment with staff who are not in the hospitality industry. This is a nightclub for under twenty fives not a Hotel.
The memory of this Hotel always comes back to me as hard as I try to forget.

I returned to this Hotel after more then 13 years , this time it felt nicer...
You can feel the buzz of the Soho in the Hotel Lobby Bar and the rooms are small but neat.
Had a unique incident , after check in ,I took a shower , went out with underwear (luckily ) as suddenly another guest open the door , and was totally shocked to find a big men in underwear :) .
Anyhow for me it was amused , but i noticed to the reception , they decided to give me a compensation a breakfast , that was nice of them

Overall , nice hotel , but better if you find a good deal (I booked in the last minute Via Booking, com 279$ and got a double upgrade) as I am not sure if it worth the full price.

The best hotel in NYC. Great atmosphere, excellent staff. Overall a wonderful place to stay. I have been staying here for six years and always have had a great time. The rooms are super cozy with great amenities in the bathroom. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Make sure to join the rewards program it has a lot of great perks every time you visit.
