This hotel is a great location and is a good value for the location too, however the service isn't so friendly. I will give a great review to the manager who did work with me on a few things. Good location and good value though!

Thank you for your review. There is nothing we love to hear more than our guests loving their experience with us! Our location is second to none! We are just close enough to Times Square and many NYC attractions but a few blocks from the hustle and bustle to give our guests some relaxation. Here we strive for helpful and friendly service and we hope you will give us another chance to show you that. We look forward to your next visit!

Warm Regards,

Joseph Giordano

So location is fantastic. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom is on the small side and shower could do with a bit more water pressure, but it's not as if you'll be spending heaps of time in the room anyway. Staff were all helpful and polite. Special mention to Anthony on the concierge desk who is the most helpful I've ever met and never gave us bad advice or made us feel silly for asking something. Check out the taco van opposite the hotel on 53rd street... Amazing food.

This Hotel stands out in service and cleanliness. The front desk staff are truly courteous and know the meaning of hospitality. Apparently, the GM has done a fabulous job of training his staff. Every body is excellent but one person who stands out is Ms. Seher. With her smiling disposition, she made me and my wife feel we mustn't look to other hotels when visiting NY. She made the big difference in our stay. I am a long time resident in this Hotel since June and all my needs are well taken care off. The rooms are clean and well kept. I was not impressed of the bar, though! I would gladly recommend this Hotel to everybody.

I stay in NYC almost every week and am Platinum level for both Starwood and Marriott; definitely see a lot of hotels. So, planning an anniversary weekend in NYC involved a lot of choices and decisions. Ultimately, my wife and I spent this past weekend at the Sheraton NY Times Square and were not disappointed. Perhaps it depends on what you are looking for, but we wanted a hotel that was walking distance to shows, restaurants, museums, Central Park and yet that also had a club lounge (for easy and quick breakfast) and good workout facilities.

I've stayed at the Sheraton TS in the past and agree that the lobby can get busy (big hotel) but overall it hits on all our top priorities. This time we stayed in an upgraded room, but even the smaller rooms are reasonable size for NYC (and who is spending all their time in the hotel room?). I've seen posts that the club lounge can get busy, but it is great for a light breakfast (e.g., real oatmeal, greek yogurt, fruit). Not many better choices in the city (the Marriott Downtown, on West, has the best club breakfast but has a small club lounge, small fitness center, and a location much further from Times Square; Marriott Marquis is on par with the Sheraton TS). The Sheraton TS fitness facility is outstanding, even if you have to pay the daily fee, as it is a REAL fitness center - not typical for NYC hotels. And the location can't be beat - easy access to subway lines (the E is right outside, NQR entrance just up on 55th) and walking distance to most museums (Met, Frick, MOMA, etc.) and easy walk to broadway shows. Just a few blocks north on 7th and you are in Central Park - fun, free, lively place! We love to walk and only used the subway a few times during our long weekend.

Overall, we had a great anniversary trip (thanks Brittany) and were really happy with our choice to stay at the Sheraton TS.

Room Tip: If you are going to use the Club Lounge and Fitness Center, avoid rooms on floors served by the separate elevator bank which doesn't stop at 44 (Club Floor). Ask at the desk.
