Location of the hotel is very nice - Times square is in 5 min walk and the Central park is of the same distance. This Sheraton seems to be rather old one with not so nice rooms and bed. The bed is as usual in the USA big but not so soft as in other hotels. The free wifi internet is in the lobby only. In the room app 10$ per day. The staff will not give you free european adapters. You can find them in your mini-bar for 10$. In the street it's much more expencive. You can have free tee or coffe in your room. But if you're a tea person it's better to take the tea with you and use the hot water from the small boiler in your room.

We stayed for a couple if days, wouldn't recommend it too noisy, crowded. An old hotel not clean enough, not good service. Try other hotels in the area because the location is good but we found better hotels cheaper around once we decided to move
Also Te crib they have us was old and insecure for our baby

It's not a bad hotel. My room was renovated not long ago, not so big as you could expect from 4 diamonds hotel, but I guess this is very common thing for NYC, especially in Manhattan. Still it was clean, cozy enough and everything was there. But being so big (51 floors) the hotel has breakfast room small enough even for a hotel of 300 rooms. I was told that many Americans prefer having breakfast outside, as it's much cheaper, but I guess those who had to queue some mornings didn't know about such an option, or were foreigners as myself. With around 1500 rooms they have usual number of staff at the lobby. So be ready to queue as well to check in and out or to ask concierge about restaurant you have an appointment at. Computers (6 or 8 of them) with free Internet are so popular that if you happen to be there without your lap top, you have to wake up at 6 a.m. and rush downstairs to find one or two free to use. Still the location is good, service is ok. Not bad but too big

This was my second time staying at the Sheraton. Yes, the lobby can be very busy (there was the Clinton Global Initiative on when we were there), but its to be expected from a hotel of this size. For the hotwire rate we paid, we were very happy. We loved the location as it's an easy 3-5 mins stroll to the heart of times square (and the subway is practically part of the hotel as it's only 10 metres from the entrance). The rooms have been recently renovated and are a decent size (for NYC standards). I enjoyed my stay and will be back. For a cheap meal or late night snack, try the chicken rice from the 'Halal Guys' on 53rd and 6th, literally just down the street from the Sheraton.

lexi_m2011,

Thank you for your feedback. We are so proud of our newly renovated rooms, it is great to hear that our guests enjoy them too. Our location is one of the best, right in the middle of everything NYC has to offer! Eating at the Halal guys is a must-do NYC experience! We look forward to your return.

Booked correctly, got confirmed but was put into a different room because they send someone else to my room. I had to chase people to move from the two twin bed room to the king bed one that I reserved and that happened after I begged for it and late in the afternoon. I was offered with "a breakfast" to compensate for all the misunderstandings but, they ended up charging it to my corporate card.

Not a good choice if you're attending AdTech or if a corporate client. Stay at the W or other more serious option.

Stayed at this hotel in September for 2 nights while in town celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. Even before arriving the staff I spoke to on the phone were very helpful answering all of my questions. At check in we were told that even though we booked a room with a king bed there were only double rooms left. We obviously looked disappointed because we got upgraded to a room on the top floor in order to meet our request. A very fast elevator got us up to the 50th floor quickly and never had to wait long for the elevator. The room was small, as is expected for NYC, but beautiful. Loved the walk in shower and sitting area in the room. Woke up in the morning to a beautiful view of central park and the rest of Manhattan. Ate in both restaurants and the food was good, love the breakfast buffet options. Not all the amenities (shampoo & conditioner) were refreshed when the room was cleaned but it wasn't any trouble. Used the fitness center both mornings and it was incredible! Very clean, large, and had as much equipment as any full gym I have ever been to. Short walk to the subway which made getting around very easy. I am a Starwood employee so I didn't pay anywhere near what the room would retail for but even without my discount I would stay here again!
