“TimeSquare trash”
Reviewed May 16, 2013 via mobile

Overrated, worn-out place...looks like a run-down 70's place...paper-thin walls, ugly fixtures, plastic charme....

Location is definately center, but if one books a vaccation maybe one expects a decent place to stay as well...we even had a "premium" room with times square view, but that can't compensate for the rest.

Better add a Benjamin Franklin and spoil yourself somewhere else.

There are better places just a 50 meters away...

This is the second time I've stayed at this Hotel in the space of a few short years,my 7th trip to Manhattan .Firstly, the pool they advertised is no longer available to the hotel for its guests use and the restaurant that they had downstairs in the foyer is closed down. Both signs of neglect and deterioration of this once not too bad value for money facility .

.The bellhop s ,concierge et al are hustling for tips that would make a seasoned prostitute proud ,and if they don't get it they behave like petulant children. The continental breakfast consists of 2 fold out tables situated in the foyer manned by a bellhop providing hot drinks in a steel canister, muffins and croissants. Like an upmarket soup kitchen.Definitely wont be staying here again!

The bathroom shower plug outlet was blocked and the room was more the size of 1 in Europe than one normally associated with the US.A really tiny room

This hotel is in a great location and the staff was nice and courteous. The hotel itself is falling apart. The doors are worn out, the elevators are ancient, the room was clean, but the wallpaper was peeling, the carpets, bathroom floor, bathtubs were stained. The faucet was broken. I have seen motels in better condition.

If you can get a cheap room, then maybe it's worth it but at the half price deal of $400 all in a night was frustrating.

I stayed at this hotel with my 6 year old son. As a woman travelling from the UK alone with a child I had a little apprehension. Anyway, this hotel was perfect for us. The location is great, the rooms offer everything you need (we stayed in Room 2001 which was spotless with a fab view). The staff were friendly and welcoming and really couldn't do enough for us. They made me and my son feel so relaxed and comfortable. I rang down to reception a couple of times for advice and they were helpful and informative and made a real fuss of my son. I can't recommend the hotel enough and if we are lucky enough to travel to New York again, I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Having travelled to New York before I requested a high room (there is a v small supplement for 20th...

We got a good last minute deal for this hotel from a website that hides the hotel name until you pay. The past few times we were lucky and the hotels have been great but our this time not too much. The hotel is in a great location - between Times Square and Central Park. The lobby was nice but once you go up into the hotel the decor was tired. The carpet in the halls were stained and worn. The room was ok and decoration was outdated. The check in was fast and the staff was helpful.

The rooms are typical NYC small-ish, but the location is very good (easy access to Central Park) and I found the service quite friendly. Good fitness room, too. I stayed on business but would also consider lodging here with my family.
