I and my husband decided to celebrate our 5th year anniversary in New York City and we were looking for a hotel right in Manhattan. A good friend has recommended this hotel. The location is perfect. It is walking distance to the tourist attractions that we wanted to see like Times Square, Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave and Empire State. The service was excellent. One time, we had a problem with the bathroom and someone came right away to fix it. The porter was very helpful and patient in hailing a taxi cab for us. The room where we stayed is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. There is also a rooftop bar where you can see the beautiful view of NYC at night. However, there is no parking space like most of the hotels in NYC. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Special thanks to Steve Sasso, the General Manager at Affinia, for the great experience. We will stay at this hotel again!

We recently had a 3 night stay at this hotel and we enjoyed our time. We stayed in a deluxe 1 bedroom suite and the bed was very comfortable. We also had someone staying on the sofa bed and they said that it was ok and better than some sofa beds. The bathroom is very small but the rest of the room was very spacious for NYC. We did have some communication problems with the front desk we had to ask 4 times for sheets for the sofa bed. The first 3 times they brought us extra towels but not sheets. Note we did also ask for extra towels but only once. :)

It was not a far walk(0.4 mile) to grand central terminal were you can catch a subway to anywhere in the city. Also, it was about a $35 cab ride to and from LaGuardia.

I would stay here again, but it would be nicer to be a little closer to a subway station.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in August 2012, the room number was 222. The hotels location is brilliant, just out from the noise of times square but in good walking distance of all the things you want to see (15mins times square, 10mins empire state, 20mins Rockefeller, few blocks from 5th ave and only 5mins to grand centrel terminal all with a normal walking pace). We stayed in a king double bed what was VERY big, the room was very very nice and was a really good size. Decor of bedroom & bathroom was very nice. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The Rare bar & Grill was very good as well, we had lunch here once and dinner twice, the cheese cake was the best myself and my partner have every had. The roof bar was the best bit, views of the empire state and Chrysler building were just amazing, the bar is quite expensive but the service is good. We would stay again if we came back to NYC for sure!!

Helpful staff are just one of the reasons this is a great place to stay in NY.You have a choice of a bar across the lobby, or a rooftop bar that lets you see the lit up buildings at night. Our room was neat and clean, also a nice size.Very good stay.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor which was quiet.

Excellent hote. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect. Just a ten minute walk to Grand Central station, and en route to there in the morning you pass many places for breakfast, (My favourite being a small take out place in Grand Central station under the Apple Store, the best Hot Chocolate and Banana muffin I have ever had!)

The room itself is very big, plenty of room for two. The beds are huge and very comfy.

Bathroom very clean, be careful of the hair dryers - they get very hot!

Room Tip: Rooms on the lower loot are cheaper but can be dark due to the surrounding sky scrapers blocking the...

Spent two nights here. Nice lobby without "through traffic.' I asked for a quiet room and was given one that did not directly face the street. However, as we walked down the hall towards the room, we could hear a child screaming loudly in the adjacent room. I called the desk and was immediately given a room on a high floor that was very quiet. No fuss or argument, no delay. Ditto no problem with late checkout. Nice restaurant and bar. Room itself was very good with kitchenette area including microwave, sink and minifridge. Would be very happy to stay here again.
