We came to NYC for an extended weekend (Saturday through Wednesday) getaway trip and were thrilled with the Sanctuary. The service-oriented staff was truly outstanding--including the door/bellmen, the front desk reception, and the bar staff. One staff member Carrie was exceptionally client service focused and genuinely took an interest in us as guests and friends. The trendy look and feel of this boutique hotel was terrific without the impersonal common areas and trappings of a large chain hotel. The location just a half block from Times Square was so convenient, yet as you left the crazy of Times Square and walked only seconds to the hotel building you felt relaxed and soothed stepping into the cozy but complete lobby and bar area. As a former hostel property, the guest room was on the small side but was not a hindrance for a super enjoyable stay, and it was an excellent price point for the service, cleanliness, and convenience. The queen bed was heavenly as was the shower. We'll definitely relax and stay at the Sanctuary in the future!
