Stayed here during my trip to NY. Great location, next to the theaters n good restaurants and entertainment. The Rooms were extremely small. Could not walk around if you have a suitcase open. Bathroom was sufficient for one person to stand. Not worth the money. Moved to the Crown Plaza after a couple of days. Poor quality interiors & Bed.Water pressure in the shower was pathetic.

Room Tip: Good Location if you want stay on Times Square.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with our hotel so comprehensively. Your comments are extremely helpful, especially the feedback with regards to size of rooms and water pressure so that our engineers can work on those issues. We do have different room types that we can show to accommodate if guest needs larger rooms.

Sincerely,

Gary Tucker

Our travel agent booked this hotel for us and upon our arrival we were given the standard double room. Upon seeing the room I was very dissatisfied. Small is an understatement, the bed was only a few centimetres bigger than a single bed and the room was too small to open our suitcases, (unless placed on the bed, one at a time). I even thought they had given me a single room by mistake! I had to up grade to a king size bed at extra cost. When given the upgraded room the room area was slightly larger but not by much. Bare in mind that this is an old hotel, but its just off Time Square, which is its main selling point. Personally if I return on to New York I would look for another hotel maybe a few blocks further away. The AC is also very noisy. I cannot fault the staff who were helpful and polite. The cleanliness of the room cannot be faulted either. There has been investment in the lobby and bar which are very modern in decor but as I said the room size is not what I am accustomed to.

Room Tip: Unless your on a tight budget with little luggage avoid the standard double room.

It all started great. I checked into the Paramount and Giovanni, the reservation guy, said how about an upgrade....Why not? I had a king size bed and two drink vouchers in hand. Used said vouchers at the bar and went to my king sized bed

Except at three in the morning, I awoke to a loud buzzer noise. It was the AC unit. I am not sure whether to be upset at being in the room or respect the efficient movement to another room...So add a star and subtract one. Things do happen. Its how organizations recover that defines them

The Paramount is worth considering. The location just outside of Times Square(but far enough away) is ideal and in good proximity to many areas. The rooms are small, but rooms in NYC are small. The lobby and bar area are cool, comfortable places to chill

This is the hotel to stay at if you enjoy being treated poorly. If you want a hotel that has dirty bathrooms and rude night manager than this is your hotel. The rooms were satisfactory (for NYC) but very small which was expected.
My main gripe was that they misadvertised the parking. They tell you to use lot across the street at one rate, when you get there the lot tries to charge much more.
The night manager was not only rude but appeared to not care about my complaint until I threatened to contest the charge. ONLY then did Peter do anything. Afterwards, he made another very rude comment which was totally unacceptable and unprofessional.
The only good thing I can say about this hotel is it's location near Times Square.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else. It really isn't worth the money you save.

People complaining about not having enough room in the rooms? well who even goes to NYC to stay in the rooms right? we used our room as a stop off point to leave our shopping bags and carry on shopping! haha.. this hotel is lovely!!! the staff are so helpful and kind, and we made friends with one of the staff who we still regularly keep in touch with now. It is a stylish hotel, with a lovely bagel and coffee shop over the road which sold delicious pastries. It is literally a stone throw away from Times Square, as soon as you step out of the doors you where greeted by the huge MAC store which is in the middle of Times Square. Perfect hotel, cannot comment on the food as we never ate in the hotel as we where surrounded by beautiful resteraunts. Comfy beds, always had a good nights sleep, would 100% return to this hotel.
