room was beautiful and spacious. Location was the best...walk in and out for all that we wanted to see...GERSWHIN, central park, the met, times square, empire state building etc. The revolving restaurant was a bit pricey but well worth it. Changed rooms to higher floor after first night and it was perfect!

Stayed here for 3 nights in August 2014. Arrived in the early AM and they were able to get us our room that morning so we all got to take a much needed nap before lunch and freshen up. Staff was very nice, rooms were clean, beds soft and comfy and bathroom was also nice and clean. We're a family of 3, wife, 13 year old son and myself and room size was perfect for us. The gym has a good number of exercise machines for plenty of people, it a good size, overlooks part of the city and I was able to used it a number of times while there. My wife bought some of their pastries in the morning and liked them. The location is second to none, Junior's is right outside, so many places to catch a show right out side the door, Times Square is close by and for burger-shake lovers, there's a Shake Shack just a few minutes walk away. I didn't opt for wifi in the room but for free wifi, just hang out in the lobby while you have your drink or coffee. Overall, a great place to stay and we'll probably return here when we visit again.

Thanks for staying at our hotel and taking the time to provide your feedback. We always try to accommodate our guests earlier when rooms available and it sounds like this helped you to rest a bit before heading out for some sightseeing. I'm glad you got to enjoy many of the different amenities the hotel offers, like our great gym. We're excited to welcome you back in the near future!

If you want to be right in the midst of the Time Square, ball-drop, Broadway Show action, this is the place. The main floor still has the front on Broadway under construction and so the first floor Starbucks is still closed. There is a free breakfast on the 30th floor for Gold and Platinum Marriot Reward members however access is limited to the member plus one guest. Elevator service can be an issue at peak times and if you're crazy enough to drive a car, I was, the wait for valet to bring the car is... An hour. Front desk and everyone on the staff are great as you would expect from Marriot. Very clean and awesome mattress for comfortable nights.

We were here for 1 night -- we did one night here and one night at the Waldorf (which I will also review). First of all - its under construction - if this bothers you put that on file. In some cities it would bother me, but New York City in scaffolding is perfectly normal people -- so I was ok with that. Our room = AWESOME. We were on the 43rd floor facing the famous Times Square sign (where the NYeve ball drops). This alone was enough, and I am fairly picky. If you are staying on Times Square you arent here for relaxation, correct?! If you are critiquing the hotel compared to a spa in LaJolla, well...this wont go well. But I am going to assume you are looking at this hotel for the view and that you want to be in the middle of the action...if that is true -- book this hotel! And you would be crazy to stay here and not have a view of Times Square -- if you do that by all means I beg you to stay somewhere else because that is the major thing this hotel has going for it. There are a gaggle of people at any given moment (all waiting for an elevator) and dont be in a rush to get your car or luggage (although I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel in that regard). Another thing that pleased me -- this place is seriously soundproof! If you think you would love to stay in Times Square but it would be too noisy? Worry not one bit! I am a high maintenance sleeper and I could not hear a peep of the mayhem below. Is this a super luxe hotel on par with the Plaza? Well...no...but they know that - and lets be clear - you are paying the high dollar price for the VIEW! If you know that going in - the view is amazing! Enjoy!

Room Tip: Pay for the Times Square view on a very high floor - otherwise possibly not worth it

Like you mentioned, our Times Square View guest rooms are definitely a must as you can still enjoy the wonderful sights even after a day of adventure around the city. This a pretty standard Marriott experience, that is, clean, convenient, and a little upscale. We stayed for four nights. it's probably a bit pricy for a family, but we were traveling as a couple focused on activities in the mid-town Manhattan area. It was walking distance to all the Broadway theaters, the subway, City tours and many good restaurants, including restaurant row. The location can't be beat. Expect large crowds of people and lots of traffic because you are in the thick of it! Be sure to check out the rotating lounge on the top floor. Excellent City views.

Room Tip: Upper floors have better City views. West side rooms have views of the Hudson River.

We're happy you enjoyed your stay and appreciate you taking the time to share that with others. Our location is certainly great for all the things you mentioned and I'm glad you also got to visit The View, our revolving rooftop restaurant. We hope to be your hotel of choice for your next trip to New York City!

We checked in and when we entered out suite we almost fell I'll from seeing the fun downed property, torn furniture a and sofa and the overall condition of this expensive suite at the Marriott. We where able to checkout immediately and went to a new hotel. I would not stay there even if they would pay me for it.

We came into New York for primarily a broadway show, great views and staying at the Marriott. We have a lot of trust in the name and they have proven themselves this weekend. Had a really strange event when we checked with strangers being in our room but Barry with security was on it. We were very pleased when not only did the management team come to see us but Yolanda L and Suzie Angeles sent the nicest note with amenity. Once handled room was the best view ever, clean and comfortable as we always expect with Marriott!! Couldn't be more pleased with the responsiveness, customer service from ALL Marriott employees! Now one thing they can't help is who is chosen for their ticketing. I hate that they are required to go through Americana ticketing as it really takes away from the class of Marriott. Sold me tickets and stated over and over the star would play in the matinee? We get up here (from NC) get to the theatre and as we walk in door are told the star will not be there. The tickets were bought specifically for that but the response when we asked for a rebated amount or a refund the opposite of Marriott and the standard that I know them by. We should have a complete refund by Monday but please be aware of what they say and confirm it right up to the same day to confirm all information is still valid. That was the worst part and I hated it for marriott because they are always so exceptional??? Americana held us hostage almost with tickets saying we had to get them back to them by 2 or it would void the refund. He yelled at us and told us "we were crazy". Wow, complete opposite of all services at the hotel from check in to response to The View for dinner. Class A, number one Marriott. Sorry for who your ticketing contract is through!!!

Room Tip: 4237 was a fantastic room!!!
