We booked a Priceline Express Deal for three nights at New York City’s Marriott Marquis in November for $227/night—which after taxes totaled $275.01/night or $825.03 total. Big mistake: we didn’t make sure that in-room wi-fi internet was included, and it was not. At almost $20/day, we skipped it, taking our computers down to the crowded public lounge one late afternoon, paying $15 each for a glass of Proseco while we worked. Aside from this nickel-and-diming, the location is great. No personal attention, but the security staff at the elevator banks is watchful and helpful. Our room would have been fine if we could have adjusted the heating: photos show what was described as a view of the Hudson (look carefully!). Windows could not be opened, so we were lucky that the heat erred on the cold side. Next time we would stick to our normal “bid your own price” – the location was great, especially for theatre and retaurants, but we have done much better by bidding our own price.

Room Tip: Beware mal-functioning heat in Room 1261--windows don't open so no control

Great iconic hotel in the BEST location in the World. We recently stayed at the Marquis for our 10th anniversary. Thanks to the Manager, we were given a fantastic room overlooking Times Square. WOW. What an experience.
Room was very nice, service was great, concierge lounge had a great view & great appitizers. For a hotel this massive, the staff does an exceptional job to meet/exceed expectations.

This is a nice hotel in the heart of Manhattan--directly on Times Square in the Theatre District. While the lobby, restaurants and fitness center are exceptional, the rooms are a bit tired and could use a facelift. Despite my room directly overlooking Times Square, it was very quiet. I was impressed by the high-quality construction! The staff are mostly friendly and helpful. The price is high, but then again, it's NYC. If you are in Manhattan to attend Broadway shows, this is the hotel for you. Warning - This is first Marriott I've stayed at that polices its Concierge Room. Only one guest per Concierge-eligible person will be admitted. The hotel is about two blocks from a subway station.
