“Almost perfect”
Reviewed October 28, 2013 via mobile

Just returned from an overnight stay Sunday into Monday. It was almost a perfect stay. We were able to check in early which was great and made enjoying the entire day more possible. Had a Times Square view room on 19th floor and the view couldn't be beat. Room was clean with a super comfy bed and linens. All staff we met throughout stay could not have been nicer. Thank you Victor for my husband's birthday treat. You made him feel very special. Had drinks after a day out in broadway lounge--appreciated coupon for 1/2 off drink. My only complaint: waiting almost 45 minutes to get our car. I do not remember this being an issue prior and when we valet parked upon arrival they did tell us when departing it could be 20 minutes for car, but 45 minutes? We could have parked across street, paid less, and had our car much quicker. We had to ask three times about where our car was. Too many valet people standing around chatting and not working. Several other guests also unhappy. This almost ruined our stay and is making me rethink about staying here, so PLEASE fix this issue

Always avoided this hotel as the location is so busy and I guess I assumed many young teens stayed here and it would be noisy. I was
so wrong.
The elevator are a challenge, full and arranged wierd, but rooms are spotless.

The most quiet hotel I have ever stayed in,just peaceful. Beds are average, views above the 20th floor are beautiful.
The only negative..no info in room on what amenities the hotel had,so never got around to seeing the restaurant there or what else might be available in the hotel. I would stay here again anytime. I have stayed in many Manhattan Time Square properties, this is one of the best.

In NY, I normally stay at the Sheraton Towers a few blocks away, so this was my first stay in this hotel. Apart from the confusion about where to check in (8th floor) and the unusual lifts (which are actually efficient once you know how to use them), the stay was really excellent. The bell boy was very helpful, check in and check out were both extremely efficient. The rooms are larger than any of the Sheraton rooms I've stayed in. We had an incredible view of Times Square but heard none of the noise. Perfect location for exploring midtown and broadway, if you are there for pleasure. Nightmarish traffic which is to be expected, however a taxi got us efficiently to La Guardia for about $30.
Only disappointed that they charge $19 for 24hrs of wifi use.

We stayed at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square last week and I love this hotel. GREAT location, super friendly staff, and a huge room (by NYC standards) are well worth the price. I am a wheel chair user and had no problems getting around the hotel, using the shower, or moving around the room. There were 6 of us and they put us in rooms next door and let us check in early. The staff were top notch. I would highly recommend to others seeking a excellent hotel in the Times Square/Theatre district.

We spent 10 nights at the Marriott Marquis this autumn and we had 10 nights' great sleep. The room was quiet, the beds were comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect for a first visit to New York. The operation of the lifts is confusing at first, and checking in is somewhat impersonal but very efficient - this is a huge hotel - but once these initial 'hurdles' are overcome the hotel is a great space with a gym, places to eat, a very friendly bar and Starbucks on the ground floor.
The hotel is next to Times Square which is very busy, and our daily walk to the subway, although not far, was always through masses of people. But Times Square does also have entertainment value and many of the theatres are within walking distance.
Would we stay there again? The jury is still out but possibly yes.

Absolutely the best hotel to stay. Close to Broadway and theater and restaurants. We had a room on 33th floor facing Time Square - very nice. Elevators are quick. I would recommend cab from airport due to parking fees at hotel. We attended the Wine Spectator's Wine Experience that had the hotel serve lunch and it was great food. We also saw John Legend as part of the program at the hotel and we we're 3 rows from the hotel's stage. Great event at a great hotel.
