Great location in times square-walking distance to Rockefeller Centre, Grand Central Terminal, 5th Ave, 24 hour Apple store, Macy's and a number of restaurants. HUGE hotel...lobby on 8th floor, along with gift shop, concierge (Alehandra is fantastic--extremely helpful and patient), several different exits, lots of elevators which were pretty fast. Rooms are quite large and fitness centre is great also. Impersonal but can't really fault the place for a straight forward stay

Room Tip: Ask for room facing times square---super cool view especially from higher floors!

This hotel faces times square and is close to everything that a tourist would like to see in the way of musicals, plays and shopping. Be prepared, the food is expensive and so is everything else but if you want to be in the middle of things, then this is the place. The hotel rooms are spacious, the hotel itself is huge and has it all.

Room Tip: If you want a view as for the side of the hotel that faces Times Square.

Commodious room overlooking Times Square was a sanctuary from all of the activity from the throngs on the street. Great location to handily see most everything NYC has to offer. Decor appeared fresh, accomodations were comfy and staff went out of the way to be helpful. Most all iconic venues like Rockerfeller Center are within walking distance, subway is handy and cab fare is reasonable. Found street vendors to be unobtrusive and respectful. Bus tour is a must and reasonably priced. Rockettes Christmas show was spectacular - even for a family that lives near Disneyland. And if you're looking for quiet and serene, just take a stroll thru Central Park. Overall, a memorable visit.

The locatin of this hotel is perfect, right in the heart of Times Square, the rooms were a very good size for NY. Asked for an early check-in after the red eye and was told it was all set-up but upon arrival the guy at the front desk was rude and told us that it had not been arranged.

The location of the hotel is perfect and the rooms are of good size for a family. But the hotel has no charm and staff is not really customer oriented - typcical superfical American style. The gym is excellent altough limited possibilities for those training with free weights.
So depends on what you want really. If you are fine with a good location and superficial American style the hotel is perfect. For those who have been travelling a lot and would rather expect real customer care, style and some sofistication this is defenitely not the place. But I do not know if the latter is possible to find in NYC ?

Room Tip: Forget about the deals with views. A total waste of money.

Took my daughter to NYC for her 16th birthday and could not have picked a better hotel/location for our stay. Our room was not ready when we arrived so we dropped our bags with the bellcaptain and headed out to shop. If you are traveling with a teenage girl, American Eagle and Forever 21 are right across the street. We received a call about 2 hours later our room was ready.
We were on the 32 floor overlooking Times Square- perfect view! The room was large and clean. Although this is a large hotel, it was extremely quiet.
After a show one evening, we went up to the restaurant on the 45th floor for the dessert bar. They charge $19.00 per person plus a 1 drink minimum (whether you are 21 or not) Martinis are $16.00 My daughter had to order a minimum of bottled water or a non alcoholic drink. So what did we get for $80? Mediocre service- we sat and sat and sat before someone waited on us. The buffet was really a joke with some cheese and crackers, a chocolate station with pretzel and strawberries to dip, and mini cakes. The revolving restaurant does provide nice views of the city at night but I could have looked out my hotel window and saved $80.00

I would stay here again as it's a perfect location for shopping and shows. Great service overall and very helpful staff.
