Close to all the main attractions in NY and very helpful and attentive service. Only downfall are the thin bed sheets which left us very cold at night !!!
Not a grand hotel however, reasonably priced - you get what you paid for !!!

Room Tip: Higher up!

I have visited NYC MANY times for business and pleasure for the last 15 years. Whenever I have a choice of where to stay, this is my preferred hotel for many reasons. The location right in Times Square cannot be beat for shopping, eating, seeing shows and easy access to transportation. The rooms are clean and they are LARGE, which is unusual in many of the nicer NYC hotels. The staff is always helpful and the conciege can help arrange show tickets, transport to the airports and just about anything else you need. Across the street is a convenient deli/store for any quick food and beverage needs when you arrive late at night, and next store is a cute little French restaurant with great food. If you have kids, the Toys R Us is right next store too! Prices are average for NYC, but often they offer special deals. After 15 years, it is getting a bit worn here and there, but I still think it is the best all-around location and value out of all the places I have stayed in the city.

Room Tip: For newer rooms, you can upgrade to the Tower. They're a bit more expensive, but newer and even...

This place is ok if you don't mind the usual bulk traveller sleeping place. Staff are good apart from perhaps the grumpiest barman in the state.
Rooms are a good size and the view is ok if you like lots of glass towers and advertising signs.

Main drawback is being close to the commercial hell of Times Square but I hear some like this sort of environment.

Showing a bit of wear and tear but not too bad.

I love this hotel .. its in the heart of timesquare were everything is around you and within walking distance .. the room was what expected from a hotel in new york .. the bathroom was old and looked really out dated and dirty not like dirt but more like old dirty .. the view wasnt that great just other buildings roof tops .. they had a broadway ticketing in the lobby which was nice to plan ..

We were 8 ladies on a birthday trip. I have stayed in NYC many times but this was the first time I had stayed in Times Square. The location was great, very busy but central and ideal for getting around time. We booked into premier rooms which were on the 39th floor. They at first seemed small but were fine,( I had previously stayed at The Waldorf and the room was smaller.) There were plenty of towels and the bathroom was adequately stocked. I was suprised that the duvets did not have a cover on them but there was a top sheet. We did have to call down for extra pillows but they were sent up very quickly. The rooms were a good temperature, usually I have the air con on but this was not needed.
unfortunately we were there when Hurricane Sandy kicked in, we spent some time in the bar across the road but everywhere else was closed. The hotel kept us informed of the issues, they advised they would be short staffed as due to subway closure many could not get to work. We did not get our room cleaned for a day but under the circumstances this was fine, when we needed towels we called down. Unfortunately the power in the hotel was affected and we could only get one tv channel, thankfully a news channel.
The concierge was great we were looking for a local restaurant and he got us into Bobby Vans which was less than 30 seconds from the hotel (45th street entrance), this restaurant was wonderful, the food was fabulous, the staff efficient and the owner came over for a chat, found out we had Irish backgrounds and had a great chat.
We were leaving on the Wednesday and things had just started opening up again so we were able to fit in some last minute shopping.
Prior to the hurricane we had been able to visit St Patricks cathedral where there was a wedding going on, we went to Top of the Rock, Grand central station and then down to the Ground Zero memorial. The following day we hired a car and drove up to Woodbury Common where there were many bargains. In the past we have got the coach from Port Authority but the car was far nicer. We hired the car from Hertz on 43rd between 9th and 10th, I was very surprised when they said they could not supply the SUV's with sat nav. We had to downgrade the car and this was only when we said we would walk across to Avis. We did have a problem when returning the car but this was only due to hurricane warnings.
A good trip and I would probably stay at the Millennium again.

Room Tip: The higher the better, better views, also plenty of lifts.

Thank you for sharing you experience with us. Hurricane Sandy was definitely a difficult time for our hotel and the people of the city as well as some of our guest. I’m please to hear that you were provided important information and updates as they became available to the hotel management team. I am pleased to hear that in spite of the difficult circumstances during that time, you ladies were still able to make the most of your vacation and were able to experience some of the NYC attractions prior to the storm. We hope to welcome you all back again in the near future.

Kind Regards,
Emily

My girlfriends and I were so excited to be planning our first trip to NYC from South Dakota. We found the Millenium Broadway hotel while on Expedia trying to find the best location/best price to stay in/near Times Square. We booked directly from the hotel's website. When we arrived around 6:30 p.m. on 10/3/12, there was quite a line in the lobby waiting to check in, and only one clerk behind the counter helping would-be guests. It took us approximately 25 minutes to reach the clerk, but once we did, he was very friendly, quite expedient, and our check-in went very smoothly. We were given a fabulous room on the 46th floor. The room was quiet, super clean, very spacious, great decor, comfortable beds, quality linens, immaculate bathroom, and had an incredible view of the city! We were there two nights, then left to attend a wedding in Syracuse, NY, knowing we would return to the Millenium Broadway again on Monday 10/8 for one last night in NYC before flying home. After boarding the train for Syracuse, my friend discovered she'd left a special neck pillow at the hotel. She quickly called the hotel and explained what had happened. They located the pillow, put her name and the date of our return on it, and told her she could claim it at the concierge when we arrived, which she did - no problems! We loved this hotel and it's location (just half a block from Times Square) and the staff was fabulous. We will visit NYC again and plan to stay at the Millenium Broadway when we do!

Room Tip: Corner rooms were quiet, spacious, and have great views of the city. We were on the 45th and 46th f...
